Tangled Floating Lantern Magic shot

Do they do the Tangled magic shot during EMH? Do they cut off the line? Do they stop right at park closing or continue for a bit as the park clears out? What is the best time to get in line? About the only night I can do it is also the night of the dessert party. Do I get in line right after the dessert party?

We hadn't heard anything about it in several months so assumed it was discontinued. But on our last night July 3, we were walking through there during EMH and we saw them out and we hopped in line. Took maybe 20 minutes at most. So yes, apparently they do it during EMH unless what we experienced was a fluke.

I can't answer your questions directly, but I will say this is the longest line we stood in on a trip in mid May. We noticed the line at about 10:30 (this was an EMH night and I honestly don't remember when MK closed) and we waited for about 35 minutes.

That helps. I'm hoping to do it during EMH but I was going to try after the dessert party first.

I walked by it a couple of times in the last few nights- once during EMH and once during regular park hours. Very long lines. It is probably the most popular non-attraction photo location right now.

We did it a few weeks ago, and specifically asked about EMH. They said they are there during EMH, but they start packing up about 15 mi utes prior to close. It took us about 20 minutes to get through the line. They move it along pretty fast.

They cut off the line at park closing but if you are in line at that time you're good. It took about 20 minutes or so but we got into line right when the park closed.

A photo op with as glowing lantern a la Tangled. It's by the Rapunzel lantern bathrooms at MK. They do them after dark. It was there in June. Long lines.

Thanks for all the great info everyone. This makes me feel a lot better about scheduling, now I have a few options.
