So Tangierine Cafe is opening up again for the Food and Wine festival as "Tangierine Cafe Flavors of the Medina". It was one of my most nostalgic quick service places in all of Disney, but does this mean it isn't reopening outside of Food and Wine? Suddenly it's considered a 'booth' and not a quick service? Does anyone know Tangierine Cafe's fate?

I don't think anyone knows yet. With the back to back festivals now, maybe they'll keep it labeled as a booth going forward... hope not.

Just adding that perhaps it's one of the "side effects" of the foreign CMs not being able to come back yet. It might be easier to operate a booth with domestic CMs, and then open it fully once the rest of the CMs can come back to the US.

My guess is that it has to do with Disney taking over the pavilion operations. They may still be deciding what to do with it or looking for a restaurant partner to operate it. Same for Restaurant Marrakesh, which is currently open as a relaxation area (can bring food in but no food or beverage sold in there). In the meantime, might as well utilize the space. The food for F&W is quite good - worth checking out! But, like you, I hope it returns to full quick service (vs. booth) operations in the future.

Adding to your thoughts it’s also a way to highlight the menu, boost kitchen employment, continue cash flow, and perhaps test new dishes.

Open space = increased capacity for Disney. A closed space = decreased capacity. Like you, I hope that Disney gets both dining options in Morocco open versus simply opening the space so that Disney is able to claim the space for increased capacity. We always enjoyed Marrakesh--the lamb was the bomb!

I'll be so interested to read the reviews of the food! That was one of my favorite QS. I'm happy it's opening in some capacity - such a nice place to sit and eat as well.
