Bread is like a cross between a pita & italian bread.

If you like the pita bread as I do, I just found out on the last trip that you can request pita bread and they'll give it to you. Much more authentic, IMO.

That has not been on the menu (online) for a while but they do have it, I ate it a few weeks ago

I think the puffy bread might be more authentic, but the pita is more familiar b/c of Greek gyros.

The Lebanese restaurant near me serves the same kind of puffy bread with their Shawarma dishes.

I was just there this past weekend and had the sandwich. It seemed smaller than I remember, but DD17 said it wasn't. I didn't notice about the platter.
