Tangaroa-ru Teleporters Quest Prizes

I just thought I would put up a list of the prizes, as they may stay the same all month:

• 1 - 17 Parrot Palm Tree
• 18 & 21 2x Palm Trunk
• 19, 20, 22 Palm Top and Trunk
• 23 - 31 Water Rug
• 32 - 47 ALR Small Hedge
• 48 Tiki Fountain
• 49 - 64 Red Tiki Rug
• 65 Red Tiki Divider
• 66 - 81 Karo Chair
• 82 - 88 Rock Chair
• 89 Red Tiki Divider
• 90 - 100 Water Cooler

Hope they change the prizes up, but I did not do any of the quests last month, so not sure if they changed them up or not then.

I just spent all evening with my character and my daughter's character trying to find the right teleporter. I thought that I had gone through all of them now and not one took me to the quest. Either they moved them around or I thought I clicked on a different one. This really upsets me. It seems like too much trouble especially for the prizes. I guess I'll probably skip this in the future.

I think I remember reading some place that would be changing the "winning" teleporters constantly to prevent people from telling others which teleporter was a "winning" one. Although it is pretty that the prizes are "buyables" and we have another month of no *real* host prizes.

I am also wondering if this is going to be the "new" host system that was in the newsletter awhile back ago or once school starts back up, then our host prizes will go back to normal

I think I remember reading some place that would be changing the "winning" teleporters constantly to prevent people from telling others which teleporter was a "winning" one. Although it is pretty that the prizes are "buyables" and we have another month of no *real* host prizes.

I dont like the moving of the teleporters with a 200+ person queue because there is NO WAY you can figure out on your own which port is the winner.

However, on that same note - If the prize is buyables, then if I can never find the right port (like tonight), the loss is much less than if I can never find the port for an exclusive host only prize.

If no one has a host prize that I don't have, no loss.

Thats funny I had 4 ppl in line and we got through the line twice and never got the right teleporter, I was convinced there was no right one. Glad to hear I didn't miss out on any great prizes

I know there have been some/lots of complaints about the Host games or lack thereof, but if you think about it VMK is giving us what we've been asking for. To be able to buy everything for the month. Last month ALL the pins were buyables instead of having to play the Host gave to get that one special pin. I definitly enjoyed last month and not having to adjust my schedule around VMK. Definite plus for me.

Agree that its a nice break from having to sit there and schedule whatever Host game to try and hope to win whatever pin of the month. I think the hosts deserve the break from doing that as well. They just seemed to have decided to have a kick back summer for us all. We will see how it is once Sept comes. If it stays that way then so be it and if not cool as well.

I personally liked it better when the host prizes were random and not the same all month long, it just made things more exciting for me

Very good point! I feel the same way.

We've been trained for so long to expect that we have to struggle to get a full pin set, that we hardly know what to do with ourselves now. But of course it wasn't always like this, and I remember how displeased I was when they started the whole "host only" pin thing. It was hard to understand how this was supposed to make the game any more fun.

There hasn't been much value in the recent host pins anyway, since so many people have dutifully lined up to get them.

Who knows? Perhaps staff is also realizing that they need to be associated with more than just prizes in the minds of players.

Well I managed to find the teleport fist time in. But the quest I am sure I did very bad in. There was so much lag that I would be stopped in a roon for a minute or too.

But if they decide to keep moving the teleporters then the prizes should be better I think.

Though I do miss the host pins.

So right on this one I hope. They do need to be more visable to the average player, not to the favorites who tend to hang out with them in their rooms.

And I agree, I like that I dont have to adjust my schedule and remember to get in line each night.

Well, my tip for finding the right teleporter...highly scientific.
Pull out a number generator. I found gold works best.

It worked for me the one time I got in last month, and another spin on "goldie" helped a friend. I didn't try last night's game.

Glad to hear others tried all the teleporter and didn't get the right one either. We also went through all of them, some of them twice and still never did find the right one. I though I was going crazy. Luckily the line went really fast and it was double credits in Haunted so that helped!
