Just got my new Nikon D7000 a couple weeks ago and have noticed that my Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 seems very soft on it. The sharpness I got when it's on my D80 seems to be gone. My Nikkor 18-70mm lens seems much sharper on the D7000. Any ideas!!!

I've read some interesting articles about lens and camera tolerances over the last few months.... short story is this.

Lens a has a tolerance of 3/1000, but its at the high end.

Camera body has the same tolerance and is at the high end as well of 3/1000

That puts it ouside the manufacturers range at 6/1000 double the acceptable range.

You gotta send them in to get calibrated. IMHO
