Tampa Airport?

Anyone ever fly into Tampa and then drive to WDW. How long is the drive and how hard is it to get to WDW from there. Flights are so $$$$$ into MCO right now so looking at all options. I will be arriving on a sunday and departing on a saturday, how would traffic be on those days? Thanx

We did this our last 2 trips. Its about 1 1/2 hr. drive pretty much a straight shot down the highway. Not a hard drive at all. The airport itself is pretty easy to navigate.

Jetblue, Ted (united), Delta/song and Southwest all fly into Tampa so the odds of getting a good airfair are pretty good. The airport is easy to get around, droping off' and picking up the rental car is easy too - but then again I'm used to Logan!

As someone else mentioned the drive is about 90 minutes (depending on how much a lead foot you have and what time of day it is) and is pretty easy as well.

If you can save some $$ (rember gas prices though) it's worth it...

Tampa airport is 72 miles from WDW exit 64B.

The drive should take @ 1 1/2 hours, depending on the always unpredictable FL traffic, and the time of day.
