Anyone with motion sickness been on the "tamer" MS ride yet? Just wondering if I should try it next time.

I wouldn't go on that "ride" (I'll use the term loosely because it's one of those hideous simulator shake-em-up attractions) if I was payed a great sum of money. We had to leave the park do to motion sickness and we aren't usually prone to it.

I haven't had the chance to do the tamer ride yet...but hope to do so.

There's been a couple of threads of live reports, and everyone's actually giving it quite high marks.

I rode the "less intense" version a few days ago. I get a kind of motion sickness - I hate that pressure feeling in the "intense" version, as it makes my stomach hurt and my head ache. I also get very sick on airplanes - it's so bad that I won't ride in them nowadays. But I can easily go on the TeaCup Ride with no problem! And I never get car sick or sick on trains. Strange! So I really liked the "less intense" version - no pressure feeling (well, just a tad on take-off). The "less intense" ride was like Star Tours or something - lots of movement that matches what you are seeing. So I really liked the new version! :)

I have to admit that I rode Mission Space just over 2 years ago and loved it. On our recent trip in April I rode it again. Oh my god, maybe it was because it was still early or something but I came out of it saying that they must have changed the ride. I was stomach sick for the next 2 hours. It's like it didn't go fast enough to keep everything still instead it was slower and gave everything a chance to move, kinda like Test Track. Just my opinion!

The new version is awesome! Usually I have to stare straight ahead or I'll get sick but on the new "No spin" version I could look around and play along, it was so much fun. :thumbsup2

When I was at WDW last week I was going to ride the "intense" version with my husband until I remembered that I had just eaten a nacho plate at the Cantina and forgot to take my dramamine that day (oops). Not keen to experience the extra-barfy version of the ride, my Dh suggested I ride the "less intense" version with my SIL. I have to say I didn't feel at all sick after riding and I usually do get motion sickness easily unless I take the meds.

I would assume that without the spinning - if you did feel sick you could just close your eyes. :scratchin

I can't wait to finally be able to ride Mission Space in July. Although I will be riding the less intense version alone as DH and DS will be on the other version.

Just back from DW.. On Sat., I went on the less intense Mission Space (2 yrs ago,I went on it and I was felt sick for 20 minutes or so.. I hate the Tea Cups!) I really enjoyed it. I don't like small enclosed spaces; but I handled it okay. In fact, I went on the less intense again. My hubby thought the less intense was still fairly intense. You get rocked around pretty good; but no spinning.
I would recommend it to those who have be hesitant to ride it. Unless you really have a problem with enclosed spaces..

Only 365 days til we go to DW again... :thumbsup2

I've never been a huge fan of Mission Space but I usually ride it, never felt sick from riding it or nothing It's just not one of my favorites. My mom rode it several times after it opened and maybe the third trip back she rode it and didn't feel all that hot, she hadn't ridden it since that time.Well we just went yesterday and rode Mission Space TAME and I thought it would be very lame but I was wrong, my mom loves the new side(she can ride now) and I would definitely suggest whoever was scared to ride the regular ride to try the tame side.It wasn't like just sitting watching the screen , you go on your back for the lift off the cabin shakes and rumbles and I would say you feel very light pressure that nobody should have a problem with. It's still not one of my favorites, but I suggest people to ride the tame side without worrying about it.
