where do you shop?

We live in Canada and will be going to Chicago for a week. Can anyone suggest any stores that carry clothes, more importantly women's shoes for size 11/12.

I don't like ordering online as it's pretty expensive for Canadians plus we have to pay a duty tax.

Thanks

I don't wear a 11/12 but I am six foot tall and wear a size 10 in shoes. I'm cheap and shop at old navy for jeans and I can get size ten shoes at any regular store.
I like the skechers go walks and get them at JC penneys

I wear size 10 wide shoes I love Skechers and get them anywhere. New Balance are good as well.

What kind of clothes are you wanting dressy casual

Mizzoufan I am looking for casual clothes. Usually the pants are always like capris:headache:

Nordstrom.

Not as big a selection in store as online. But being able to try on shoes in an actual store and have choices is wonderful.

DD and I are both 6 ft tall. I wear size 11 shoes, she wears a 12.

We buy a lot of clothes at Old Navy, but shop mostly online for better selection. Our local store carries jeans in "long," which work for DD. Online they sell "tall" pants which are longer than "long," plus they have shirts, leggings/yoga pants, dresses, etc in "tall" online. There's a chance a bigger store in Chicago would carry more, but my local store does not. Our Walmart carries some pants and jeans in "long" too.

Payless shoes has a decent selection of flats, sandals, heels, etc up to size 12. I don't like their athletic shoes, but that is just personal preference. For those, I can usually find 11s at Kohls or Shoe Carnival or our local specialty running store. 12s are almost impossible to find where I live, so we order those, usually from Amazon. Maybe you could order while you're here and have them delivered to your hotel? Good luck!

I'm 6' 1 1/2" and shoe size 11. Before the weight gain, I shopped a lot at Long Tall Sally. They can be pricey, though. Now I shop Torrid and Lane Bryant. I sometimes check DSW for shoes, but it's a hunt for larger sizes.

I'm 6'0" and wear 10.5 or 11 shoes. Nordstrom Rack is great for larger size shoes. Stores here don't really cater to tall women, though, in terms of clothes (even though every major dpt store has a petite section, annoyingly!). I typically shop online at Gap or Old Navy for long pants and dresses.

Check out Long Tall Sally. Shipped from Canada so no duty. They have a ton of shoes in sizes up to 14 and cute ones too!

6'. I'd ideally wear a 10.5 in shoes but that rarely exists so I go back and forth between 10 and 11.

Old Navy (online) really is the best for clothes. Love the tall shirts! I have one pair of pants I bought recently (the wider linen pants) that are so long I actually should have returned them. I'd already cut the tags when I realized they were too long. (This has never happened before). So, I've actually been just rolling the waist band to shorten the legs AND cuffing them at the bottom. Crazy long!

For a 10 I don't have any trouble finding shoes anywhere. I like any of the bigger stores (DSW, Off Broadway) for a lot of selection. Years ago I bought a bunch of dress shoes from a store named Aldo who carried even larger sizes. Nordstrom Rack is really good, also.

Nordstroms. It's one of the few places I can find shoes in the store. But if you are a 12, you may have more trouble- lots of brands just flat out stop at 11.

Rei if a decent one in the area? Outdoors clothing stores tend to have a little more length to their stuff. And a lot of times they have "tall" versions in things like pants.

If you can find a DSW, that's heaven for big-footed people like me. I wear an 11 and they have tons of options.

My DD17 is 6' and wears size 13. Yes, 13. We've resorted to online shops, and a lot of her cleats, etc. we buy in men's sizes.

I told her she might just have better luck in a store that caters to cross dressers, as they'd likely have better style than what we find.

That's what I used to do when I lived near one. Got some fabulous stockings and shoes there. Also one time, they had long torso lingerie, but I couldn't afford it.

Wow 13 that's a big foot too. I'm.5'11 myself and I'm a 14 but usually wear mens

I love Clarks and they go up to a size 12. I don't know though if you can get a 12 in stores or if you have to order them online. Sam & Libby goes up to 13. My sister wears a 10 or 11 and she likes their flats for work. She's a teacher.

I agree with others about Old Navy. The clothes aren't high-quality but they are cheap and trendy and generous with lengths. I also shop at JC Penney, they have a good selection of clothes, particularly pants, in women's tall sizes, but I mostly shop online and I've heard the selection in store varies by location. I love their brand St. John's Bay jeans, I have an hourglass shape and they fit all my curves just right (no huge gap in the waistband) and the jeans have just the right amount of stretch to feel super comfortable without feeling like they were painted on. And they come in tall sizes!

I am about 6' tall with size 12 feet... Although sometimes, I can squeak by with 11s in sandals. I'm like a 13-14 in some Skechers, so...

I shop at Torrid a lot, although their shoes are lacking in comfort lately.

I got good shoes at Lane Bryant this past Christmas-- boots and a pair of bootie heels. There are some good clothes, too.

My sneakers and work clogs are from Kuru which is online. (Worth it for Arch Support that is offered!)
