As part of the July 4th weekend festivities, there are 7 (seven) tall ships in town. They are being displayed at the Public Dock in Presque Isle Bay & at the Maritime Museum.
The "Pride of Baltimore II" is berthed right next to our USS Brig Niagara.
The ships can be boarded for a walking tour and we have been there once and we are headed back.
There is a 3 masted ship from India visiting...and is berthed at the north end of the dock. Her masts are so high they can be seen blocks away from the waterfront.
A 'tip-o-the-hat' to those in authority who arranged all this. Not only is it a breath taking sight, it's a great way to remember our Nations early days.....and if i may add...the Grandkids absolutely loved it!
I edited to add.... we want to find out what time they will depart so we can watch them sail through the channel on their way out into Lake Erie...
