I was at Universal yesterday and was unable to get into the Dudle Do right boats. Im about 6'9" tall and coulg notbend my leg in a way that it could get under the lap bar. The weird thing is I rode Dudley Do right about 5 years ago, so I dont know if they changed the boat or my legs got less flexible, but whatever the case it was a nice humiliating experience.

They are supposedly testing some new boats that will make it easier.

I'm 6 4 also and have a hard time getting out more than in. I have to be the first person getting in the boat. I keep my legs straight out and do a bench press while sitting to slide in. It's hard to explain. Just to let you know that there are handicap boats with a big backseat that I rode in once and that was easy. I guess that's one of the drawbacks of being tall, but I can see over the crowds. :lmao:

This used to be my favorite ride. Now I call it the human mousetrap. :confused3

It's such an uncomfortable ride for me and I'm not a small guy. I haven't ridden it last year. Let's see how it goes this weekend. :scared1:

If you're over 5'6" and want to ride Ripsaw Falls, DO NOT SIT IN THE FRONT SEAT. I'm 5'10" and don't fit in the front. Otherwise, sit in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th seat. The back provides the most legroom, but is a hassle to get in/out of. It is possible for those over 6'8" (I've seen it) to get in the logs, again 3rd or 4th seat. The trick is NOT TO SIT DOWN. You won't fit. Get in the log, then stretch your legs forward (yes, at an angle) and slide into the seat.

There are some new logs which have slimmer seats. That = more legroom.

Did they change something about the ride? I know I rode this about 5 years ago and I didnt have this problem.

They made the lapbars built into the original boats a few years ago.:thumbsup2

My DH is just shy of 6'2" will he have problems? He really wants to ride this!

There is a test boat in front of the entrance of the ride that you can get into and see if you fit. I didnt try it because I had ridden the ride before. I did not know that lap bars had been added.

I'm not super tall, but I have long legs. This is what I had to do. Since I don't have a lot of upper body strength, getting out was the trick!

I'm 6'6" and getting in wasn't the most difficult part, getting out was. I'm lanky, and had to wiggle and squirm to free my legs from the boat. I really enjoy the ride, but will think twice about going on it in the future.
