Talking Palm Tree

My daughter & I had a pretty funny encounter with it at AK one time. Does it have a name? Does anyone have any pictures of it?

I thought his name was Wes Palm. I could be wrong. Sorry I don't have any pictures either.

It's Wes Palm. (for West Palm) He is funny. My DD *still* talks about her encounter with him 2 years ago. She was missing 4 of her front teeth and couldn't figure out for the life of her how this tree knew to tell her she shouldn't eat corn on the cob any time soon.

If you like Wes, look for PUSH in MK, usually near Cosmic Ray's.

We saw the talking palm tree at AK and a talking trash can at MKin March 06. The boys loved them. sorry no pics though. Talking trash can was in tomorrow land. The tree was right before the turn stiles to get into AK the day that we were there. Dh was always trying to quickly spot the guy with the controls. =)

We also saw the tree just outside AK when we last visited (2004). He just came up to DS(7) who was wearing a green T-Shirt at the time and said "Hey! You look good in Green".
It totally stunned DS for a second or two, and then he couldn't stop laughing.
It's a phrase we still use now, if either of us wear green.
We're really hoping we find the tree on our next visit, which is less than 3 weeks away

I have tried my last 3 trips to find/see Wes Palm and I didn't see him!

Anyone know a sure fire way....or almost sure fire way to find him????
He is always one of my MUST SEE's and I've never seen him!

Wes Palm can be found at the entrance to AK every day at 8:30, 9:10, 9:50, 10:30 & 11:10am.

Also at AK is Pipa the Talking Recycling Can. She can be found at Rafiki's Planet Watch every day at 8:30, 9:10, 9:50, 10:30 & 11:10am.

And last but not least is PUSH the Talking Trash Can. He can be found in Tomorrowland Sunday-Thursday at 10:00, 10:50 & 11:40am, 12:40, 1:30, 2:30 & 3:30pm.

My daughter, age 8 or 9 at the time, thought it was funny to sneak up behind Wes Palm & follow him around while he was talking to other people. Next thing ya know, he turns right around & says to her "ARE YOU STALKING ME"? She freaked out! It was so funny. She started running away from him & he chased her, all the while saying things to her like "shouldn't you be in school right now"? etc. I was trying to run to keep up with her but I was laughing too hard. So now every once in a while when she is following me around the house I'll turn around & say "ARE YOU STALKING ME" & we'll laugh about it. I was hoping someone had a picture so I could send it to her email.

I can remember meeting "him" at Conservation Station at AK a few years ago. My husband and I stood for ages watching as he interacted with a disabled teenager in an electric wheelchair. They compared stories of how fast each other could go and I think at one point they even had a race!
