talking Mickey???

Its kind of cool but kind of awkward. He spoke in Portuguese to a family so its cool he has that capacity. Its awkward though because it seems like there is a bit of a lag. So you can say something and then it seems the person inside has to think of which way to answer because I'm sure he only has a limited amount of responses.

It's not "the person inside" who is formulating the answers.

My son (3) and I loved meeting talking Mickey - wasn't a creepy experience at all.
Didn't experience a lag time in responses either.
MM actually asked my son a couple questions without prompting from the handler.
Is someone near or behind a 2 way mirror? Curious, but kind of don't want to know...

Our kids LOVE talking Mickey! I remember the first time we saw him it was just ODS (he was 5) and Mickey asked him if he wanted to fly like Peter Pan and they put their arms out and "flew" around the room. DS had the most incredible smile, his face was just beaming. l love those pictures. We've seen him three times now and it's always our favorite M&G.

On our last visit I had my daughter go see him. She didn't know he was the talking Mickey. She was freaked out and wanted to run out before we got up to him. LOL The two families in front of us both spoke Spanish so he did speak to them in their native tongue which is cool, especially for the kids.

1. It's not a problem at all for MICKEY to ask questions of guests.
But, it can be a problem when a GUEST asks questions of Mickey.

2. Then I won't tell you.

I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about it but it was pretty awesome. It was just me and my husband and he asked us to play a card game with him. It didn't seem too staged or forced. He congratulated the couple in front of us because they were holding a sign revealing their pregnancy. We have recommended it to our friends that were going.

I think he's super cool. I've only seen him in shows, but I can remember the first time I realized that his mouth was moving and such. I was blown away!

My friends and I are squarely in the "no" camp. I think it's cool technology and all, but it just seems "off".

We met him for the first time in December and LOVED it. DS is only 1 and was a little shy so Mickey sang the Hot Dog song and danced along too! It was fabulous.
