Talked to Lorealle!! I'm booked!

Hehe... ok...

Will one of the twins let me know if booking the rooms through Mousesavers' discount is the same, better or worse than asking for the Disboards discount?

(start the clock...)
:woohoo:

Here, I'll break it down for ya.

AAA discount is 10%

The Disboards discount is 15%

The Mousesavers standard discount is 15%. Every once in a while I see that Mary over at Mousesavers has a special offer of 20% off for certain dates.

The AP discount is 20%

The Ent. discount is by far the best at 50% off rack rates.

HTH!

Beat me AGAIN! ;)

And when the Entertainment Rate is not available at the full $59/$74 per night + tax discount, it is still available as a 15% discount. :goodvibes

DH surprised me and said, "Let's go to Disneyland for your birthday this year!" Ok, he really said we could go somewhere for my birthday. He was thinking about Vegas, Ft Myers Beach or a short cruise. I looked at those options but they weren't my first choice and it is MY birthday, after all! I sheepishly suggested that I would like to go to Disneyland and while he wasn't thrilled (we just got back from WDW), he agreed when I told him the Angels were home and we could go to a game and maybe we could drive to a beach and see the Pacific Ocean or even go to San Diego for the day. We have only been to Disneyland once and we stayed at the Candy Cane Inn so I gave them a call and made a reservation for May 11th through May 16th ($102/night). I then started my research here on the DIS and read about the HoJo and figured I would call and try to get that great Entertainment Card rate for my May trip since my dates were listed in one of the above threads. From what I can tell, it looks like I would only save the 15% so the room would actually cost more than I have already booked at CCI. My question is, has anyone stayed at both who would recommend one over the other? CCI has the free continental breakfast and the dedicated shuttle (which we never used last trip). The grounds were beautiful and I remember that since the hotel was small, the pool was never crowded while we were there. I've read great things about the HoJo and really wanted to try it but don't know if I can justify paying more, especially with the whole pool construction thing going on. Anyone? :confused3

First, I would make sure to email Lorealle directly to see if, in fact, there is any Ent. rate availability. Her email is lorealle.bishop@hojoanaheim.com. I'm pretty sure you won't get a response until Monday since she doesn't typically work weekends.

If the ent. rate is sold out and the CCI is cheaper, I would go ahead and stay there, and here's why:

Free dedicated shuttle
Free nicer cont. breakfast
Pool not under construction

I think you will have a lovely time at the CCI, and while I am HoJo's biggest fan, I completely agree that this time the CCI makes more sense for you.
