I'm kind of kicking myself for not attempting to get FP+ for Wishes. What should be our strategy to see Wishes without FP? At what time we should be trying to look for a spot, and where? Crowd level for both our MK days is 4.

I think wishes is really a waste of a fastpass anyway - there are so many good places to see it. The hub is generally the preferred area, as it gives you the classic view of the fireworks above the castle. Anyplace on Main Street will give you the same view. I like the area in fantasyland around Gaston's fountain, which is a good place If you like having the fireworks right above you.

I agree with PP. We usually start finding a spot an hour to 45 minutes before Wishes. Celebrate The Magic typically begins 15 minutes before Wishes too. There are so many places to watch it. We like to sit in front of Casey's which is a popular spot so we try to get there an hour early (also keep in mind we're usually there during "low" crowd times). Last month, we got seats on the curb an hour before. Even if you can't get a seated spot on a curb or wherever, there are plenty of places to watch the show :). If you're really concerned about getting a good spot, maybe try heading towards it an hour and a half before (though, like I said, I don't think that early is necessary).

No FP+ needed. Just find a good spot with a good view left and right of the castle about 45 minutes to an hour before the start and you'll be golden.
