I believe POR was once Dixie Landings in the 90’s. If so, we stayed here when I was a child with my family. This will be our 6th trip to Disney (me as an adult) with my kids (12/8) and I chose POR this time. Specifically because I have a boy and girl and wanted the 5th sleeper. Tell me the good/bad.

I really have no “bad” to report. We’ve stayed there twice and loved it!

It had a nice big food court, and a sit-down restaurant as well. I love the boat to Disney Springs! It’s been a while, but IIRC, the bus stops have shade and benches, and the pool has a slide.

Since it’s your 6th trip, take advantage of some downtime to enjoy the grounds, surrey bikes, etc. and check out POFQ if you haven’t been there. (They are sister resorts, so you can use everything there as well.)

My first WDW trip, back in '99, we stayed at DxL!!! We thought it was going to be a once in a lifetime trip. Nope, not even close. Went back in '01 and it was POR! I was shocked!!! But, it was still the wonderful and beautiful resort it had been. I can't really think of a negative. Maybe if you get off at a different bus stop, you may get turned around and walk a lot!!! I did that in Sept. I decided that I wanted to check out areas of AB that I hadn't been in before. Well, I got hopelessly lost. Took forever to get back on track. But, other than that, everything has always been terrific.
I find the food court to be fine. It can get crowded at busy times, but they all can!! The buses have always been fine. No better, no worse than at other resorts. I love being able to take the boat to DS..so relaxing. And just to walk around the resort, especially after dark, is wonderful. That's one of my favorite things to do there. I love the fact that there are a ton of pools you can choose from. The main pool is a lot of fun, but can get crowded in the afternoons. The quiet pools are soooooo peaceful.

We took our 2 yo grandson last year. My husband and I were just talking yesterday about how perfect it was for him. Great playground, pool, horses drawn carriages, boat to Disney Springs! Lots of room to safely run and explore. It was very serene and beautiful after the hustle and bustle of the parks. The bus service was great. The dining rooms were never full or crazy. Actually, the year before I took him to AoA and it was way too happening for my taste! My husband wouldn't have survived that trip! We would absolutely return to POR. I'd say it's my favorite moderate! Enjoy your trip!

Ditto:thumbsup2 We also like to walk around the resorts we stay at, to enjoy their great themes. We have, many of times, got off the bus at the front even if there was a bus stop closer to our room, just so we can enjoy the stroll through the resort and to unwind from a busy day at the parks, instead of rushing back to the room.
Our family loves both PO resorts, our 2 favorite Mods.
FYI; with a family of 4, the only way to guarantee getting a room with the 5th sleeper is to reserve a preferred room, because only the rooms in the AB section have those. The mansion rooms do not have the 5th sleeper.

POR is the best moderate. There's really nothing bad I can say about it. Highly recommended.
