I was wondering what kind of bag you carry your gear in. I currently have a Lowepro Nova but it's a little on the small side, especially since I have added some new lenses and a new camera so I need a bit more space :).

My current bag selection is as follows:

For everyday, and for transporting my equipment to various travel locals...

Think Tank Airport Commuter...

...and for in-park and general use a Tamrac 8z sling...

Here is what all I carry...

It depends on what I am doing. My shoulder bag is a Crumpler 6 Million Dollar home. My backpack is a Think Tank Street Walker. The Crumpler has gone to Disney on my last 2 trips. My trip in March I am using the Think Tank.

Go ahead. Start a big collection of bags like the rest of us have. :)

I have yet to find "the" perfect bag, but generally have come to accept that what is perfect for one occasion might not be for another. I have come to enjoy having several bags so I can select the right one for each task.

Lots will use a sling type bag, but it just caused me too much neck pain on one side, so I go full backpack or messenger style bag.

Like the rest have said, "there is no perfect bag." I'm a Lowepro fanboy, so I have two bags (one for me, Fastpack 200 and one for the DW, Slingshot 200 AW) for general use. She has another bag that looks somewhat like a purse (a medium size Built). Besides those, I have a bunch of others that are just taking up space. Because my gear has expanded again, I'm looking at the Lowepro Vertex 300 for travel. When I travel, I will still have to bring the others for daily use.

LOL! I think I am well on my way to collecting bags :). I like the backpack style and that Think Tank one looks very nice and roomy.

My wife says my technology bags are analogous to women and purses...

That's quite a number of bags! So I guess different bags for different situations/travel is recommended? I think I'm going to need to rearrange my closets then ::yes::.

I got a Kata 465 before my November Disney trip. I needed something smallish that would carry a tripod (I have shoulder/neck injury and did not want to be weighed down). It was perfect for train and plane travel with the tripod on the side with ball head removed and in the backpack. There was room in the top pocket for snacks and such. The price was great at $49.99.

I have the Kata KT DR 465. It has a notebook sleeve as well as the above poster's other pockets. it holds a ton of stuff, but is heavy all filled up. It good over all travel back pack that also holds camera stuff.
