Ok, so i have 2 BWV 25pt contracts in a Oct UY, & the rest of my WDW points are Sept. I've been trying to calculate how many points is ideal for BWV & I came to the conclusion that 118.5 is all I would ever really need (famous last words), but traveling every other year gets me a 2bd in Halloween Season (worst case scenario).
So if I round 118 up to 120 (or 125), I'm in need of about 75 points, so I have been wondering if I should just look for a 125-150 in Sept, & sell my Oct 50, or just add 75-100 to my Oct.

I technically have my Oct 2025 trip already funded (enough points), but moving forward, trying to plan ahead (add-on-itis, probably is the main issue. lol), so I don't really need to think about it till much closer to my trip next year, or even soon after in 2026... which I was good with not worrying, then all of a sudden a 70pt showed up this morning in Oct UY. lol
Is there a DVC god, or just karma, that wants to mess with my head?? :rotfl2:

There's a few September 110-150 Boardwalk contracts for sale at a much better price per point. And you could probably sell your small contacts at a premium price. Also, I hated having two use years...
Yep, that is my dilemma. even worse is I don't need any points for at least a year before I would even start to think about planning another trip. lol

But that is my thinking as well, just sell the two small ones & get everything lined up in my Sept. use year. I have a year to dwell on it. ;)

I saw that OCT BWV. Just do it already!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't sell. I would just add whats needed unless you can get a bangin deal on another larger contract. 25 pointers will hold their value longer, you have to pay commissions, you have to deal with paperwork and getting things notarized etc. yuck.

YES, that is the main reason I'm against it right now. The thought of doing more paperwork this year is just horrific!!

I'll just have to wait until late next year & see what's out there & make that decision then. It was just funny how I had this dilemma in my head, then the world presented a 70pt option that just so happen to fit perfectly. lol

Thats what happens. But if you had made up your mind and were actively searching with the goal of purchase it wouldn't be there 🤣

Conflicting thoughts:

1) I’m all for reducing use years
2) I’m trigger happy… I’d get it if the price is right
Yea me too. lol

I was just getting used to settling in for a full year before I needed to worry about starting to look for a 60-100 contract, and boom that shows up, exactly perfect everything… except the price, but honestly I’d pay more to be done worrying about it. I just can’t bring myself to do it, I have literally had an ongoing loan from Monera back to back to back all year long. lol

Do it! Honestly I saw it and wished I was in the market for such a contract (I am not and probably won’t be…but I see the draw!). October use years for Boardwalk are excellent.

Do it! I watched a small contract for BCV and thought should I, maybe I should, I dunno... then I waited long enough and someone else solved the problem for me. I should have jumped on it.

Price is a little high on that one but it's a smaller contract and $/pt doesn't build up quite so badly. If it's what you needed and the funds are there...

Can't help with most of this (although I have a 25 point BWV Oct we need to switch to a March to match the rest of the family lol - so we can sell ours as a Set of 3!). I will mention however, I think if you Do decide to sell the 25s you can try Facebook first to bypass the commissions. For Boardwalk the little contracts are pretty popular. Just not as "fast" as selling thru a broker. If going with a broker, as you know, just go for the cheapest commission, real shoppers will find you within a day if you're with any of the larger brokers.

The only reason I would give up mine is to change Use Years. I don't recommend adding more to the wrong Use Year for your usage. While it's easy to buy them, the commissions and closing costs really add up to sell them again to make changes...

Also, if you are bridge financing…. the rates on Vacation Club Loans seem to be a LOT better than Monera.
I pay them off within a couple months so it’s not a big deal, but I usually put a decent chunk down and then make big payments on the principal, so I can’t imagine the rate would make much difference.? (I could be wrong tho. lol)

I agree, less paperwork is good, and I don’t think the 2 UY will be a big deal.
If you decide to sell, give me a wink before you do. ;)

If all else is equal then I will give my business to the Paul and Amy Krieger family….
