Our last two trips we've eaten at CM's (once breakfast, once dinner) and enjoyed it -- the food was fine, the characters were great. This trip we kind of want to try something new, but we also want to see Mickey, so I'm thinking Ohana's, but I worry about 2 things -- one is that the menu seems limited -- I'm not a big scrambled egg fan, without it will we get enough food? The other is I'm not sure what family style dining means -- we're a party of 2 (mom and child) so I'm pretty sure that means we sit with other people right? How does that work out?

If we decide it's not for us -- any other suggestions on where we can eat with the main mouse?

No, you don't have to sit with other people. Family style means that they bring you a platter with enough to feed the both of you. I have never eaten there so I can't comment on the food.

OK, so they bring a platter, can we ask them to leave something off (e.g. the eggs)? Or does it just get wasted? Also can we ask for seconds?

We really enjoy Ohana. Family style they bring the food to your table you are not seated with other diners. If you want more of anything they are more than happy to bring it. DD love Mickey, Stitch, Lilo. It is less of a selection than say CP but it is nice not to have to so up to a buffet. If Minnie will do instead of Mickey we also enjoy the Cape May Breakfast: Chip & Dale, Minnie and Goofy in beach attire. That is served buffet style. We have had great interaction both places, actually better than the time we went to CM.

I've had them put the meat separate from the eggs and waffles-
because I can't eat meat but my DH and DS eat it--they were happy
to do so.
We love the atmosphere at O'hanas compared to CM--
very pleasent not as noisy.
I like family style because they bring everything to you, you don't have
to get up. There is plenty enough to eat-Meat (bacon, sausage), Mickey Waffles, eggs, Fresh fruit,
POG juice, Coffee, biscuts, pineapple bread.
The Characters are great, Love Lilo & Stitch, Mickey & Pluto (dressed in Hawaiian clothes).

I wanted to plan 1 character breakfast for our trip next month and I offered my kids Ohana, which we've done once before, Crystal Palace, which we've done for dinner and Piglet is my one sons favorite character, or Chef Mickey, which we haven't done. They picked to go back to Ohana.

Each party has it's own table. The platter is basic breakfast food, eggs, bacon, sausage & potatoes. They also bring a basket of various breads and a fresh fruit platter. Mickey waffles are brought out seperately (at least when we were there). The juice alone is worth a trip over there. You are free to ask them to leave off anything you don't like and you are free to ask for more of everything or only selected things. My one son doesn't like eggs and he had more than enough food to eat.

I thought the atmosphere was way more relaxing than CP and the characters spent plenty of time at not only our table but would stop between tables for small groups of kids that would gather up while waiting for their turns. Stitch is a lot of fun and you also get Pluto (my favorite!) The parade was cute though my boys didn't want to join in. We had a nice walk through the Poly gardens after breakfast. I'm secretly glad they picked to this one to go back to next month.

I thought 'Ohana was just ok. We went on our last full day there though, so I may not have been in the best mood.
The food is average--I don't remember anything standing out. I think the food is better for breakfast at CP or CM.
The character interaction was decent though--and my daughter did enjoy herself, although not as much as she did at CM, CP or the Princess breakfast in Norway.
I think you'll have fun though--it was definitely not a boring meal!

We love O'hana and do it every trip. The characters are always good. The food is good compared to the character meals we've done before. They start with pineapple bread, cinnamon rolls, and fruit. Then the platter comes out with eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits next someone comes around with mickey waffles. You can ask for more then one. We usually get 2-3 each. You can definitely get seconds of anything you want. Also I have seen other tables ask for things separately or not to be included on the platter. Also the coffee is good kona coffee and the juice is to die for. They also do a parade around the restaurant for the kids and the characters.

We just ate at Ohana breakfast the other day, pics and full review is in my Aug link. It was one of the best breakfasts we ever had, great food and the most amazing character interaction. DH loved it and cannot wait to go back again in January

We went on our last trip and did not care for the food. The characters were fun, but very disjointed in how they rounded the tables. The food started out great, but quality went down as the meal progressed. We would not go back.

We were there this past Tuesday for the first time and we really enjoyed everything about it. The food was good, the characters were fun and we enjoyed good service.

My family loves the Ohana Breakfast!

We love that it's served family style. Yes, you can order as much as you want of anything they serve. It's great that they also offer the Mickey Head waffles.

The juice rocks!

The character interaction is very fun. I love Mickey in his Hawaiian Shirt and Pluto wearing his Lei.

My kids love the parade around the restaurant once an hour (with Maracas).

We loved Ohana's too!! I really enjoyed having my meal brought out family style (especially for breakfast). The food was really good and fresh. We enjoyed the fruit and the juice was yummy. The characters were fun and spent time with us. Lilo was so cute and Stitch was fun. Mickey and Pluto were there too. I would have done it again this year in a heartbeat, but the girls wanted to try some new places. We've only been to WDW once before, so I understood.

We love 'Ohana's here. We have to do this breakfast every trip. We like the food and the juice is great that they give you. The characters are great and they make it fun for the kids. Even if we don't have the kids with us we go to this breakfast.

My family really enjoyed it. My kids ate great! I loved it too! The view can be amazing if you are sitting in the right place. :)
