Talk me into AKL Conceirge!

OK, I drive myself CRAZY.(LOL) I have a savannah view booked for July but, I would love to try conceirge! The only thing holding me back is the chance that we might not get a savannah view. This is a surprise trip for my DS who has been saying (ever since our last trip) that he 'wishes' we could stay at the AKL and have a balcony room and watch the animals. We won't be arriving until night so I'm so afraid that we won't get a savannah view. Does anyone actually want pool view conceirge? Has anyone ever had a problem getting savannah view? By the way, we will be going July 5th and I know it will be crowed. Help!!!

We're staying one night at AKL concierge in a couple of weeks, and we had the same concern. I seem to remember DH telling me that the concierge pool view rooms were mostly smoking and that the nonsmoking concierge rooms were almost all savannah view, but I'm not certain of that. At any rate, I do know that we feel pretty confident that we'll have a savannah view...

We've done the AKL concierge 3 times, and twice we requested the savannah deluxe room.
The last, and third time, DH and I (couple only trip) wanted to be on the 6th floor, steps away from the latte machine and the food!

Each time, we got what we requested, and one of those times was during Peak season.(for the savannah view)
BTW....the deluxe savannah room will be on the 5th floor.

the 6th floor had it's own ambiance, also.
sorta like an overview of the whole lodge and pool.

I will say this...you will LOVE this place....esp the concierge!
Problem is that you'll be spoiled for the rest of your WDW Life!
LOL!
