Seriously. I am a grown *** adult. I'm acting like an idiot w/5 days left before we fly out. I'm a SAHmom (both kids in school), and I am just going from my treadmill, to the disboards, to watching taped disney world park specials.... back to the treadmill, disboards, watch another park tape. (treadmill is for building up stamina, so that walking 8-10 miles a day won't kill me) I am getting NOTHING accomplished! Shake me out of this! I keep thinking, I SHOULD be spring cleaning, doing something productive. WTHeck!

I'm all done w/my work. (I make handmade items I sell on etsy, orders are done, everything is done )

Got everything pretty much bought, laid out. Ready to go except to pack.

Anyone else get mush brain right before they leave?

Please tell me I'm not the only one.

(then again, haven't been to WDW in 8 years. Maybe that's why)

:crazy2::crazy2:

It is not spring yet so no need to spring clean.;)

It sounds like you have most things under control. How about just making today a list day. Make a list of all the non disney things you HAVE to finish before you leave and when you can do them t or w and give yourself a little space not to be productive today

I'm 8 days out and going through the same thing, except we're trying to get our house ready to put on the market as soon as we get back. What were we thinking!!

Awww, I think it's cute that you're so excited! It will make it even more fun for your kids that you are so happy.

I would say, don't stress and enjoy the excitement of the week. There is nothing wrong with indulging your feelings sometimes. :)

You will have a fantastic time and I would be doing the exact same thing you're doing.

I have to work until Thursday, we fly out Saturday! I am having trouble concentrating at work. I've got the disney music playing and of course Im reading the dis boards over lunch! Sometimes I want to just scream out I am so excited!

I'm four MONTHS out and I am doing the same!!

I was just confessing to my DW last night about my "horrible addiction" :) to thinking about and planning out our WDW trip. I am constantly checking wait times on the My Disney Experience and Lines apps and lurking about on as many WDW message boards as I can...

So, in my professional opinion, you are well within your right at five days out!!! ;)

My people! Thanks for the responses.

I think alot of it, is we haven't told our 7yr old yet. He has never been to WDW... and everytime he sees the disney commercials, he gets a little sad, he wants to go so bad. We keep telling him in a year or two, that we're saving or money as it's a very expensive trip. His little face about breaks my heart. (our 14yr old knows all about it) So yes, we're telling him that morning, before we fly out. I can't wait to tell him.

We fly out Friday. Taking my 5yo great-nephew, his mom and grandparents, with his soon-to-be step-dad joining us for a few days. His excitement is the best part. To help get your pre-trip fix, Kelly and Michael are broadcasting from Main Street all week. This morning Michael showed footage of him and his girls in Fantasyland.

I'm 7 months away from my trip and I'm doing the same thing! My DH laughs at me, and I tell him its his fault bc we skipped last year.
Enjoy the excitement and anticipation!
ANd most of all- have a GREAT time!

my brain is still mush and i've been back for two weeks. i'm obsessed and everyone is getting annoyed with me lol. i think you're fine!

"overwhelmingly twitterpaited " I'm stealing this!!!! Love it!
We have been more times than I can count and I still get sooooo excited. It's one reason I love these boards, most here understand the 'addiction'.

Your kids will have a wonderful time. Just remember to take it easy ( a little) and realize you can't do/see everything. Downtime is fine, it's part of a vacation. Enjoy!

Yeah I feel you. 5 days here as well, but unfortunately I have a full time out-of-the-house job that requires quite a bit of concentration.

So I'm alternating between freaking out on my breaks (I've taken to taking 6 five-minute breaks instead of 2-15 minute breaks), obsessively making spreadsheets between tasks, and jotting down an ever-growing to-do list.

It doesn't help that my DH thinks we're going to Chicago instead of Disney...so I can't even delegate tasks.

About 170 days out very excited, also quite supprised my mother has yet to pack, last year she claimed to be fully packed 180 days in advance. (not sure how truthful she was)

The reason I haven't started packing too much, is we haven't told our 7yr old. Right now the suitcase is out on the back of a table in the basement (where we all hang out) .... but nothing in it.... So, will be doing it most of thursday and friday. Got everything bought and in a centralized location? LOL.... just not in the actual suitcase yet. Glad my hubby has the friday off before we leave. That man is a huge help!

That's what I've done. We leave in 5 days, too! I have a reusable shopping bag on the dining room table and have been filling it for the last month. I just carried it upstairs and started packing. :cheer2:

You haven't packed yet???????

This is what I was thinking!!!

I'm 75 days out and already getting the luggage out!
We have sorted through DD costumes, and have them hung up in dress bag ready to go in the suitcase...

At the 60days early check in I start putting this in the suitcases!!!

I would be freaking out if I only had 5 days and didn't have my luggage ready to go...

Tip for getting pack, w/o spoiling your secret trip..

Get at least one or two of them and set them in the bottom of your closet.. Pack one suitcase before going to bed..
Zip it all the way up! So they can see what's in it..

This will cut down on the " hurry up lets pack" and the "OMG we forgot what?"
