My girlfriend and I went to WDW May 7 - 16, and lucked out on our rental car...
I'm only 22, so I called around, and Budget was the cheapest car rental, not because they had the best rates, but because they had one of the lowest underage penalties...
I was all set to rent a Hyundai Accent for 9 days for just over $400 (ouch! it would have been around 200 without the underage charge!)... We got to the Budget booth, checked in with no problems and then were told to wait "a few minutes" while our car was prepared...
After waiting for nearly an hour, I was getting pretty annoyed, and walked up to the counter and asked "how much longer will this take?"... the guy at the counter said, "I'll see what I can do", then rummaged around a bit, and asked if a Wrangler will be ok...
Coming from Canada, when I heard this, I instantly pictured a pickup truck, which I wasn't too keen on, so grumbling a bunch, said that'll be fine, I want to get out of here...
So my girlfriend and I went out to the lot, and to our surprise found a bright yellow, 2001 soft top Wrangler Jeep Sport with leather seats and only about 4000mi on the odometer.
The weather was great, the lines were short, and we were really driving around in style...
