So the whole point of rope dropping AK is to get on fop with minimal wait but if I do pandora first well I miss seeing the animals given they are most active in the morning

The only time we thought was a bad time was around 2-3. Since then we usually see them around 10:30am-1:00pm and it's been great!

You'll be fine. I would do Pandora at rope drop and then head over to the safari. I would recommend getting a FP+ for the safari since you are doing Pandora at rope drop. You had also mentioned perhaps doing the Tusker House ROL package. If you are still considering that, I would RD Pandora, head to the safari (it's not far from Pandora) and do the gorilla trail (if you are interested) and then do Tusker House. As others have said, just avoid mid-day if you can. Even if you can't, the safari is still worth riding. Remember, they are wild animals and walk around at will. You really can't control where they will be or what they will be doing at any time of day. Except the crocodiles I suppose. They don't seem to move!

Thanks for the tip

You could go to Sanaa for lunch to see some animals if you're worried about not getting to see them in the park.

I wouldn't recommend doing this if you want to maximize park time at AK. You also can't control if and when the animals will pass by the windows at Sanaa. To maximize animal viewing, do the animal trails at AK, do the safari and, if time permits, see Flights of Wonder.

Thanks for the tip

OP, when you have a sense of what you would like to do in AK (and the other parks), please post. (I know so far it's Pandora, safari, possibly EE for DH, possibly the TH ROL package) I know you have some constraints due to some in your party not able to ride certain types of rides and are struggling with how to book FP+, etc. There are people on here who are happy to help you put a touring and FP+ plan together.

I have ridden the Safari dozens of times. There are ALWAYS tons of animals to be seen. Yes, in the heat of the afternoon in summer it is unlikely you will see the lions but overall too much is made of the advice to get there first thing in the morning. In fact one of the best rides was mid afternoon last month. AK is the hottest park by far but we were there for the ROL Package at Tiffin's. We were looking for a FP+ and it popped up so we went, but it had just finished raining and all the animals were out despite the heat.

Although it IS good advice it is not a make it or break it. My teenagers still love the petting zoo at the Affection Section and there is always something to see at the Conservation Station and Maharajah Jungle Trek.

Just want to add that you can see lots of animals anytime of day on the Safari, in the Discovery Island Trails, the Pangani Falls and/or Maharajah Jungle Trek.

It's called "Animal" Kingdom for a reason. Loads of animals live there. :)

We always used to do KS first thing...

Then we switched to mid morning and ironically, saw far more animals!

I wouldn't worry.

So RUDE!!! If you don't have something nice to say or an answer to a question, move along!

I did answer her question and she even "liked" it. I have no qualms about questions but OP sometimes makes it tough to understand what she's talking about. It's not being rude to point that out.

Actually... between me and you only one of us answered OP's question. So maybe I'm not the one who needs to "move along"...
