Hey everyone! I'm new here (after being a lurker for sometime) and I've never done a Trip Report, or a Pre-Trip Report for that matter. So bear with me!

Who:

I'm Katie. I'm 24 and a college student studying Human Services/Developmental Disabilities. My favorite park is Magic Kingdom, with Epcot coming in a really close second. My favorite Disney movies are Beauty and the Beast and Princess and the Frog and my favorite Disney/Pixar is Finding Nemo. I love Minnie Mouse, Belle, Tiana, and Alice. My favorite resort is Port Orleans Riverside (I remember staying there as a kid when it was Dixie Landings) and my favorite restaurant is Olivia's.

That there is my wonderful fiance, Matt. He's my Prince Charming, the Mickey to my Minnie, the Beast to my Beauty (just kidding, I think he's a handsome one). He's 26 and going to school for his Master's in Community Counseling. Matt's only been to WDW once, this past summer when he went with my mom and me. He loved it! Like me, his favorite ride is the Haunted Mansion. His favorite Disney movies are Tangled, The Great Mouse Detective, and Beauty and the Beast. His favorite Disney/Pixar films are Monsters Inc and the Incredibles. He's also a huge Phineas and Ferb fan. His favorite parks are Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. Unfortunately, he's never stayed on property.

What:
It's our honeymoon!

Where:
Obviously, we're going to Walt Disney World! We're staying off property for the majority of the trip. My parents' have a timeshare and it will be a lot more cost effective. We'll be staying at Marriott's Cyprus Harbor. We'll also be spending one night at Animal Kingdom Lodge. I've always dreamed of staying there, so Matt is getting the night there for my 25th birthday gift.

When:
We'll be in Florida from May 27th - June 10th, 2013. We'll be staying at AKL on June 7th. We'll be getting married May 25th if you were wondering.

This trip report may a bit different from other for a few reasons. Obviously we're staying off property but we're also planning to take it easy. I have some health issues and get worn out easily. We're planning on going to the parks one day and then relaxing at the timeshare the next. We have two weeks so I'm sure we'll still get a lot done.

Sorry the photos aren't that great. All I can find are phone pictures. The photos from the trip will be much better quality.

I hope you guys have enjoyed the beginning of this PTR. Feel free to subscrible and say hi. Let me know if you're in!

Here are our ADR's:

Tuesday May 28th - Magic Kingdom day (I have to start out each trip at MK!)
Dinner - Be Our Guest: I'm so beyond excited for this!!! I've been obsessed with Beauty and the Beast since it first came out. I hope my expectations aren't too high. I'm glad we get to eat here first.

Thursday May 30th - Epcot day
Lunch - Rose and Crown: Matt LOVES the fish and chips here. And, as a second generation English-American the food reminds me of what I get at my Grandma's. I love that their Cottage Pie is gluten free. It's not quite my grandma's but it's still great!
Dinner - Via Napoli: Not only does Matt get good pizza, I get amazing gluten free pasta!

Saturday June 1st - Hollywood Studios?

Breakfast - Chef Mickey's: I'm not too sure about this one. We may not keep the ADR. Most reviews on Disboards aren't too great. But it might be a good experience to meet all of the characters. Should we bother?
Dinner - Kona Cafe: We really enjoyed it here on our last trip.

Sunday June 2nd - Downtown Disney
Dinner - Raglan Road: We've never been but the menu seems right up or allies.

Monday June 3rd - Maybe Animal Kingdom?
Dinner - Olivia's: Oh Olivia's! I cannot say enough good things about this resturant! This is my favorite restaurant on property with my favorite dish on property. I cold live off of their shrimp and grits. It's gluten free heaven. I'm asking for the recipe.

Wednesday June 5th
Dinner - Planet Hollywood: Matt requested this. I don't think he's ever been to a Planet Hollywood and I haven't been to one in years, so I figured why not? Sure it's not the most Disney-y place but oh well. Hopefully they'll have good burgers!

Thursday June 6th - Probably back to Magic Kingdom!
Lunch - Liberty Tree Tavern: We really enjoyed it here last time. Matt was a big fan.

Friday June 7th - Animal Kingdom Lodge day!!! :woohoo:
Dinner - Boma: Love Boma! My mom and I talked Matt into eating here last summer. Matt's not the most adventurous eater. He knows what he like and he sticks to it, which there isn't anything wrong with. But, my mom and I are adventurous eaters. We figured he'd find at least a little something here but he ended up loving it. Plus they make gluten free zebra domes if you let them know ahead of time! I think we'll have to eat here every trip.

I cannot wait to stay at AKL! Staying there, and eating at Be Our Guest, are what I'm looking forward to the most, besides just relaxing and having fun with my new husband. He'll be my husband! That's so crazy to think about. I cannot wait to marry him!

If you already haven't guessed, I have to eat gluten free (and nut free too). Boo allergies! I'm sure you've all heard it time and time again but Disney really is the best place to eat with allergies. They go above and beyond. I never get to eat as good as I do in Disney. It's one (of the millions) of reasons why I am so in love with WDW.

Is there anywhere else we should try? Any place we should skip? Is Chef Mickey's worth it? And, most importantly, where do you think we can get the best burger on property!?! :thumbsup2

Sounds like a great list! I'd stick with chef mickey's for breakfast. You never know if you'll like it unless you try it!
I'm also excited about Be our guest for our trip. I'm making my reservation for it in about an hour. I am enjoying your PTR and i can't wait to read more!

I hope you guys have the best time!!! I might start eating gluten free this summer. My bestie already does due to medical reasons and my doctor has recently suggested for me to do the same for my own! XD

I'm excited to learn about the gluten free options you experience/have experienced!! We are taking a bestie trip Jan 2014, so dining in the world will truly be NEW!!! :lmao:
