I have a small dorm type fridge. Do you think that I could take it along and carry it to my room instead of renting one? :confused3

If you want to carry it you can. Buy the way Welcome to the DIS !!!

If you're staying in a deluxe or moderate, there's already a fridge in the room....otherwise, I suppose if you want to carry it there'd be no problem. Personally, I'd just bring a cooler. :confused3

Sure...but isn't that a bit of a haul? You can rent the same thing while you stay or they come free in the mods. Just FYI. :goodvibes

We plan on bringing our own. It is cheaper than renting and we get to keep it for future use. We are driving so it will not be difficult at all to bring.

Unless you really plan on using it a lot...I would say no. You can buy a small container or milk a day at a Value food court. Bagles/poptarts/ etc hold without refrigation. And like everyone else has said if you are staying in a mod or delux they already have them. Are you doing the food plan?

Yes we are doing the food plan. And I have the fridge in the basement already. I have a big truck and lots of extra room. I really wasnt asking if we should take. More of the fact is if the hotel would let us bring it into the room.

I would think that question might be best answered by the resort.

I think it's safe to say that 80% of the questions posed on these boards would be best answered by a CSM for Disney Resorts, Disney Reservations, Disney Dining, ect but I think people like to get info from several different sources and from people who have experienced things first hand. :goodvibes

When we went to Disney last year a friend of ours took their portable fridge with them to Pop and they didnt have any problems from the resort.
Have fun!!!! :cheer2:

I'm now going to assume you're not staying in a moderate or deluxe...I would recommend calling WDW and asking them yourself. If you're staying in a value and have lots of room in your vehicle to bring it, then I'd say go for it...as long as Disney okays it. I know when we did the DP last year, we had so much to eat(and we LOVE to eat) that we often had leftovers. Esp. the desserts. We loved having the fridge to keep them in. Again, I would only bring a cooler myself, but since you don't seem to mind hauling it, then it sounds like a plan to me....have a good trip and welcome to the DIS!! :)

I totally understand that, but I also think sometimes people ask questions here that would be best answered by Disney themselves, and not those of us who visit the parks.

This was a rather unique question - at least not one that I have ever heard of here..... and if it were me I would want and answer from Disney - the main SOURCE of information about DISNEY.

I read many questions here that I think to myself that would be better answered by DISNEY themselves, but have never posted that answer before. Unlike what should I pack, what shoes should I wear, should I go to EMH or not, will it be hot, will it be crowded.... policy type questions, which one might still get varying opinions and answers to - I think should be answered by Disney.

I have had heard answers to things on this board, that when I put the same question to Disney, was told something totally different!

Are you trying to play Jeopardy with Disney? if you put the same answer to Disney do they answer with the corresponding question? :rotfl2:

J/K.... making light of the subject. Often questions asked here should be asked of Disney themselves. Opinions found on the boards are do not neccessarily reflect those of Disney employees.
