Taking toddler

As others has said 3 years old is definitely not too young and you will most likely want a stroller! DD's first trip took place just before she turned 2 and she loved the characters immediately. DS has been going since he was 6 months old. He's more wary of the characters still but he's warming up to them. Kids are all just different and they all react differently. Even though one of my kids liked the characters right away and the other didnt, they still both love Disneyland. They take different thigns from it and have different things that they look forward to. DS just turned 4 and I'm still bringing a stroller for him.

We went last April and my son just turned 2 and my Daughter was four and they loved it! We are going back At the end of September. We brought a double stroller and had no problems. Your little one will love it!

Aloha,
I personally recommend for anxious parents to wait until their children are at least five years old before they visit DL. In my opinion, the family's experience will be greatly more enjoyable without any strollers and the children will be old enough to comprehend and enjoy the experience...plus relish the memories. I have witnessed too many scenes of exhausted parents with crying children in strollers yelling and arguing with each other and the family.
For my family, we waited until my daughter was five and my son was four for our first DL trip. We didn't use strollers and the children walked everywhere. Granted, we always did RD and returned back to the hotel after lunch for the pool and naps.
Good luck with your decision.
