Taking the plunge and buying tickets. Advice needed.

With the recent and unexpected price jumps I kick myself for not buying tickets sooner. I had planned for a long time to buy non expiration tickets but kept putting it off. We go sporadically but for short amounts of park days at a time.

I could've saved 150 per ticket by buying them last year but that's just something I'll have to forget about! Does anyone know if prices will increase again in June even though they increased in Feb?

I'm definitely buying at least 3 10-day non expiration tickets (park hopper + water park). I believe they are the same price on UT as through Disney (there's no "save $x on gate price" sign next to them). What would you do? Buy them through Disney with over $2000 worth of gift cards from target? (I'd save 5% with the redcard but what a hassle). Plus it's risky cuz I heard some CMs won't take over 3 gift cards at a time.

How bout using a credit card with great point value or cash back? Recommend any?

Any other ideas I'm missing?

I'm prepared to take the plunge but I I just want to make sure I get the most bang for my buck! Thanks for any tips.

I am seeing a sign that says save $40 off gate price with the 10 day noexp w/ water park .

If you sign up for the Mousesaver newsletter it will provide you with a link for a bit more savings. Rest assured prices will only go up so if you are ready to buy you might as well go ahead and do it.

While the UT page that I'm looking at does not have the "save $x on gate price" next to the 10-day hopper w/WPF&M (no-expiry), there is a significant savings when you compare the price listed on UT (which includes tax) with the gate price listed on the allears.net website (which also factors in the taxes).

The gate price is $830.70 for an adult ticket. Using GC's purchased at Target would save you 5%, which would bring the OOP cost down to $789.17 . As long as the price on UT is lower than that amount, you're better off buying from UT than going through the whole deal with buying Disney GCs at Target.

Last month you could get tickets through Orbitz for 20% off. I picked up two 10 day non expiring hoppers tickets and saved $308. verses UTC price.

I believe the discount now is 4%.. You have to buy them through Ebates to get the deal. Then ebates will send you a refund check for the 4% savings

Orbitz through ebates is up to 6.5% back on "Activities"

Wow Shelly, any chance they will have that deal again? Did your tix include water park and park hopper? Wow I would love that deal..

My tix's were non-expire hoppers. No water. I have old tickets with water park days still left on them.

I am not sure how often they run the deal. Just have to watch on ebates.

We buy the same as you. 10 day, non exp, hopper + water parks and more tickets. We by them at AAA. I believe they are the same price as UT. We have a local AAA branch so it is very convenient to just pick them up there. But OUCH!!!! They are expensive!!!! In an effort to cut down the 'ouch factor' I have staggered buying tickets so that I only have to buy one ticket a year. We generally got to the parks 3 days each trip so we get many trips out of the tickets. Right now I have tickets that have 3days, 6days and 9 park days left on them. I will buy one more this year for our family of four. Next year I will buy ONE more, and so on.... It takes the sting out of it. ....a little bit.

That's a great idea!

Hi Everyone,

I know this thread is kinda old, but hopefully someone will read this post...

Can someone please forward to me recent (May-June) MouseSavers Newsletters or Hot Deals emails? As I only just signed up as a MouseSavers member, so won't receive any offers before we goto Disneyworld on Mon 8 Jun 2015.

Would love to use any current offers to save on entrance tickets bought from UT, or offers to use in the parks.

We're departing from Australia this Sat, so your quick email to cwuwlo at gmail dot com would be much appreciated! Our trip is costing us a fortune, so any $ saved would be awesome.

Thanks, Winston
