Less than a month to go before we leave on our great train adventure! We are booked in a family room with our 2 year old twin girls. They love trains, so I'm really excited to kick off their first Disney trip with something that will hopefully be fun for them, and not too bad for us. Any tips you have regarding the train experience would be greatly appreciated. I have two specific questions:

1) Can you request specific sleeper cars, and if so, what should I request?

2) What was the shower situation like?

Thanks in advance...

We took the AT last year with the family room. Our son was 3 1/2. He too loved trains. It was a great experience. We packed a DVD player to bring on the train to watch movies in our room. We spent the first hour or so in the beverage/snack car enjoying the scenery. Get to the Lorton station early so you can get a good pick of which dinner seating you want. There were 3 I think....5 ish, 7ish and 9ish. Our son slept great...right through the night. You need to be up kind of early to get breakfast. The showers are small but I managed to get one in the morning. Imagine an airplane bathroom with a drain on the floor. It was easier to sit on the toilet and shower that way. Served its purpose!!! We sat in coach coming home from FLorida...it was not that bad. The room was nice to go down in since I wanted everyone rested and ready to go. I'd be happy to answer any other questions you may have~!
