Taking taxi from resort to resort

A couple of times during our visit in November, we will be dining at a WDW resort and we will need transportation back to the Dolphin. I know we can take busses to Downtown Disney and then to our resort, but I've also read that cabs are another alternative (especially when we just want to go to bed!) How easy is it, for instance, to take a cab from the Poly to the Dolphin? Are cabs readily available at 9:30pm?

I've never taken a cab that late from the Poly. But I would imagine that someone at the front could always call one for you if there weren't any on site.

I'd like to see other replies; I'd like the answer too!!

I've seen lines of cabs at the front entrance of all of the resort hotels. There is an "approved" vendor that the doorman can hail for you.
Another question - Are cabs available at the exits of the Theme Parks - say at AK?
