I know food is suppose to be unopened to bring back on board. But what about when you leaving out on your excursion? Snacks isn't the issue, what about water bottles?

No problem taking water bottles off the ship in all the ports we’ve been to. In fact, there usually is a water bottle sales station near the debarkation point or in the location(s) where guest are grouped up for excursions.

I've taken our refillable water bottles from home with us on many excursions. So, you aren't limited to taking only the sealed ones that they sell.

We always bring our own water bottles on excursions. No problems getting off or on the ship. It's best to have control of the water you're drinking when visiting foreign ports of call.

The country you are entering may forbid any opened food or fruit and dairy. The rules aren't necessarily Disney's, they are set by each country.

Some ports (i.e. Cozumel) prohibit any kind of food being taken off the ship, sealed or not. Our bags have been sniffed by dogs every time we disembarked there.

I have always taken water bottles that we fill and snacks off.....all ports on over 20 cruises.
No meat, fruit or dairy
