I've seen some great pics of the Osborne lights (Safetymom for one), and I was wondering what settings were used on the camera. I have a DRebel XT, but would take forever on my own to do the settings.

Thanks.

thank you very much. I looked at your pics the other night, and they are all wonderful. Thank you for sharing them.

Just set your camera on something level and leave the shutter open for a second or so.

Probably a dumb question, but do you take the pictures with or without a flash?
without flash. seems to look better

Would you give the same advice for Spectromagic... no flash? I bought a new digital camera and I want to try to take some great pictures... Last time I was at WDW, my camara was not working properly and I ruined some pictures... so I'm doing some over again ha! ha! Spectromagic did not come out at all with my old camara.

I take my pics with a mini tripod, set onto a trash can or bench. I set to camera to ISO1600, Program AE (P) mode, no flash. In that mode the camera itself determines exposure, and the exposure for the Osborne lights is usually 1/2sec to 2sec.

It is vitally important that the camera be absolutely still during these long exposures, which is impossible for the human hand, so that's why I have a pocket-size tripod. You can get one at Best Buy, Circuit City, or a camera store for $10-$12 and it litterally fits in your pocket.

I have a great mini tripod that I will bring.

Thanks for all the great responses.

I have a Nikon VR lens. It has been great for the night shots. I haven't use a tripod yet. :)
