Just booked yesterday! We are beyond excited! My DH, DS12, DS10 and neice7. We went as a family when our kids were 6 and 8 and had 8 days at Disney, but we are taking my neice this time. Her birthday is late March so we want this to be a surprise for her on her birthday!
The trip is planned the last week of April - arriving at AOA on evening of Sat 4/25 and going home the morning of Sat 5/2. So we will have 6 full days! This will be a surprise for her. She would most definitely not get to go to Disney because her mom struggles financially. This will be a dream for her! We are also doing the DDP and I have booked all of our meals - we only did the QS plan last trip so this is a treat for us! We have meals reserved at Liberty Tree Tavern, ViaNapoli, Chef Mickey's, Sci-Fi, 50s and Akershus. We wanted to try places we didn't eat last time, plus 2 character meals.
I am planning one "princess day" for my neice where they guys can do whatever (then meet us for dinner at Akershus). I have scheduled her an 8:30 a.m. at Bibbidi Bobbidi in MK then we will meet characters like Ariel and the Fairy Godmother, and ride Little Mermaid and the Carousel and whatever else she wants to do - like see Belle. Then we will eat a QS lunch at Be Our Guest. She will love love love it! Then we will do whatever she wants to do and meet the guys for dinner at Akershus.
I want to do a "trip reveal" for her birthday on March 27. I need help with ideas for that. I want to get her a cute Disney princess suitcase and put some things in it like order her an autograph book, some Mickey ears and get her a monogrammed Mickey shirt made. What else could I put in the suitcase to surprise her? Do I let her figure it out on her own when she sees the stuff??? Not sure if she will piece it together and figure it out. She knows we've been before and has an idea of how awesome it is because she's seen our Shutterfly books I made of our trip. Just wanted to see if you all had ideas on her trip reveal/bday surprise....and what are some other girly-girl things we can do at Disney with a 7 year old? I want to make this trip super-special for her.
