Taking in a bottle of water

Are you allowed to bring a bottle of water to the parks? Someone told me that you cannot take a bottle of water that you purchased at a store into the park? This doesn't sound right to me. Our local parks always allow you to bring in your own water even though they sell water there. Thanks, kjs.

I always bring a bottle of frozen water from home. Was never asked to leave it behind.

security never says anything about our Britta bottles. I don't know why they would say anything about bottled water. (I carry my Nalgene bottle with me everywhere. If anyone says I can't have it, I tell them I have a medical condition...even though I don't-I just need my water bottle!)

I usually take a bottle of water, and I've never had an issue.

We take three frozen bottles every time and have never been questioned.

They never gave us any trouble with bottled water - I wouldn't worry about it

Lasy year we took our own bottled water and snacks into the park with us, and nobody ever questioned us.

We took lots of water in with us in June. Never had a question about it at all!

I've never read about anyone being unable to carry (plastic) bottles of water into the parks. Official Disney policy allows it:

Dear Brian,

Thank you for contacting WALT DISNEY WORLD!

With the exception of food items for guests with specific dietary restrictions, we do not permit guests to bring food and beverage items into our theme parks.
Generally, however, plastic bottles for water, juice, etc. are allowed.
