Hi, have just booked our first trip to DLP and am staying in the sequonia lodge and was wondering if you can take your own snacks in ( boxes of raisins/crisps/fruit/juices etc) for my children to snack on during the days? i know we have in the past in WDW florida but someone told me that you cant in Paris?

Also are there any tea or coffee making facilities in the sequonia standard rooms?

All advice gratefully recieved

Kind regards
Hayley

You will have no problem taking snacks into the park - most people do

There are no kettles in the room but you can hire one from reception I think but we usually take our own

Hi ellis9905,
Elaine, Jackie, Elaine and Reid welcome you to the DLP DIS board :goodvibes

We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here

You can take as many snacks and soft drinks into the Disneyland Park and Studios at DLRP as you like - no-one will bat an eye.

There are no tea-making facilities in the rooms at the Sequoia Lodge as standard. I believe you can hire a kettle there, but I always take my own mini kettle and supplies (I consider it £5 very well spent, as I can't do without my evening coffee ;) ).

Another who always takes her own kettle and drinks. We usually take our own snacks into the park too.
and welcome to DIS. :goodvibes

It's 7 euro to hire a kettle, cups, tea, coffee, sugar, hot choc sachets etc.

The "official" line is that guests are not allowed to bring snacks into the parks but as others have said, nobody will care and most people (including me) definitely do.

You aren't allowed to have full blown picnics with chequered blankets and wicker baskets out on grassed areas though, Ive heard of people being asked to "move on" for doing this... but again, you may be able to get away with it, depends on who sees.

No problem taking in snacks. In fact we have been known to take in a picnic lunch. We of course only use the tables of restaurants shut for the season :goodvibes

Hello, you request a kettle via the phone in your room to housekeeping and they will bring it to you free of charge. The basket of t bags and coffee sachets etc are what you pay for. However, take your own t bags and get some milks from the bar if you don't want to purchase a basket.

Have a lovely time.

I remember in 2007 taking our ice bag with us packed with a full picnic for the 5 of us but we didnt exactly have a chequered blanket to eat it off...just stood around eating but no-one stopped us from taking the bag in.....think my father wishes we had been stopped though as he had the chore of carrying it around with him till lunchtime - poor daddy:goodvibes

I agree with this, you barely get anything in the baskets that you have to buy and they will give you a kettle free regardless of whether you buy the basket or not.

We took snacks in when we went in Dec and had no problems, was handy to sit and munch while we were waiting for the parade!

I'm off to the Cheyenne tomorrow and just wanted to confirm that it is free to hire a kettle, and that they only charge you for the tea/coffee sachets, and that I can turn them down?

I was going to buy a travel kettle tomorrow morning, and take my own tea/coffee. But if I can hire a kettle for free, and get milk from the bar and mugs from the canteen, then I wont go and buy a kettle tomorrow. Every penny helps!

Can someone just confirm?
