Taking DW to Hospital..**Thank You All, Hazel is Home!!! 03-04-03**

Hey Neo Old Chum,
I have to go pick Angelina up from her sleepover, then run up to see my precious DW and take her some Diet-Pepsi and a peach tastykake pie. I imagine only those people who live in, or are from, my neck of the woods would understand what a tastykake is.

You'd be correct in your assumption! I need no tempting as I'm trying to be good before we hit those all-you-can eat buffets in May! ;)

Hazel deserves some treats and pampering :)

And I won't mention the 'you-know-what' from the skies ;)

So, may I assume you will be going to Mickey's House? Where will you be staying, if I may ask?

I have a few extra minutes for the boards, just called DD and was told I can not pick her up until after 12:30, well!!! She is only around the corner, but she has too much stuff to carry home, si I have to pick her up in the car.

Sounds like typical pre-teen to me ;) My DD is at a birthday party this afternoon and that took 2 days of girlie preparation, and she's still only 10!!! DS just got dressed and brushed his teeth :)

We're staying in a villa off-site in Kissimmee this time as I got a great deal on a private rental of $375 per week for 3 beds, 2 bath, private pool etc

I'm also starting to try and put together a trip to DLP for Halloween/ the Bonfire Spectacular they have at the end of Oct/beg November. We've not been to DPL since 1997 and the children are now much bigger and they've added the Walt Disney Studios since we were there.

WOW! What a GREAT deal, have a GREAT time!!!

I'm sure everyone will enjoy that trip as well! I took off the next two weeks to be home with Hazel, so we are only getting away for one vacation this year, that's our cruise in August, but it will be well worth it, I'm sure!!!

If you ever think you'd like the villa option in the future we booked with a villa listed here www.villas2000.com Worth bookmarking for future reference.

Our children like the idea of the American Halloween, but it just doesn't happen here and if we time it right we get the following Bonfire Firework display too. I promised them I'd try and make it a bit more interesting this year! (Apologies if Halloween is something your family doesn't get involved with)

Did Hazel get her peach pie yet? :)

Yes, we took the peach pie up to Hazel after I picked Angelina up, she had just finished her lunch, so she siad she was going to eat it later. Hazel did however, open up the Diet-Pepsi right away. I got her the caffeine free Diet-Pepsi, we don't need her bouncing off the walls in the hosptial, LOL!!!

Angelina goes trick-or-treating every year, but she is not much of a candy eater, go figure. Mom and Dad wind up eating the chocolate bars, like we really need them, another LOL!!!

What Angelina doesn't want and what we don't eat goes to Hazel's sisters and their families. Hazel is one of 7 children, so the candy doesn't go to waste.

Thanks for the info on those villas, but we joined the DVC last March, so our stays over the next 40 years will most likely be on-site, but I'm going to bookmark that address you sent.

Look forward to seeing Hazel, yourself...Angelina (and Grandkids ;)) kicking up their heels in WDW in years to come then :)

You all have a peaceful evening (aready 9pm here).

Hope Hazel had a good night too - no hanging off the light fittings as you got her the caffeine free :);)

Despite being a sub-mariners daughter, living by the sea and I love to sit and look at it put me on it and I'm waiting for a re-enactment of the Titanic  Nope, not a happy sailor :)

I even avoid the cross-channel ferries to France now in favour of the Eurotunnel!

How's Hazel today?

Is this what Hazel likes?

Hey, now you see what a Tastykake is, good work there!!!

I haven't called her yet this morning, it's just after 7:30am here, and I don't want to take the chance of waking her up.

I was talking to her before I went to bed last night, and she is so HAPPY to be able to walk up and down the halls of the hospital without all of that pain she was in before surgery. She is starting to get around much better, and her scheduled date to be released from the hospital is this coming Wednesday.

I've got her nightgowns and bathrobe in the wash right now, they got a bit soiled the past couplre of days, so I brought them home yesterday to get them clean, I will be taking them back up to her after church this morning. Speaking of which I have to go get Angelina up and get her moving, she is not a morning person, and it takes her awhile to get ready.

Be talking to you later. Maybe one day our two families can meet at WDW!!!

The weather is so nice today I was able to sit outside in the sun with my DLP brochures and a cup of tea - no tastykakes LOL

Have a good day and wish Hazel the best when you speak to her.

I'm sure my daughter would enjoy meeting yours :)
