We had the prettiest wreath and 'kissing ball' hung up on our front door and porch since Novembr 27th. Now that it's February, I think they should come down, even though they still look so nice. Who else will take down the last of their decorations this weekend?

I guess I should right?

We went to Disney for Xmas so I put a tree up and decorated there but I put some lights on my porch and decorated the mantel...these are still up. They are so pretty!

We might take down the outside lights this weekend(not lit anymore), but
I'm leaving my inside (artificial) tree up as long as my old cat is alive.
He likes the lights.

OH MY GOD, you still have decorations up???

LOL, my DH is putting xmas stuff up in the attic as I type.

Our christmas door wreath is the only thing left......guess it is February....but oh so cold here!

last year I kept my kissing balls up until the end of winter. they looked so pretty with all the snow around (I have farmers porch with 5 of them hanging along it). I see them more as winter than strictly christmas I guess. but this year I'm going to go ahead and take them down this weekend. no snow, just not feeling them anymore. I took my wreath down this past week. usually take that down the end of january and replace it with a heart for valentines day.

I reckon i need to finish packing up mine. I still have some Christmas santas in some of my cabinets and such. And maybe finally get back outside and remove the lights from the bushes...:) (NO, they are not plugged in either!) lol
At least all of the big 'showy' stuff is finally packed back up. :) Though I think I am going to leave by christmas village stuff in the china cabinet in the dining room. They take up a lot of space and look SO nice!;)

Now that I think about it, we may just have our wreath up still. We don't use our front door, so I am not sure. Going to have to check it out tomorrow.

We'll be leaving our outside wreath up until 3/17 this year.

Our subdivision has a ChristmasTree and Wreath burning party every year. So - in my neck of the woods, that's when we all take down!

Please take the Christmas decorations down.:scared1: I am just glad that we are not neighbors:laughing: I had friends who had a birthday party and kept the decorations up for months:eek: because they liked them so much:confused: I say get a life and move on.:)

I just took down the front door wreath and the greenery on the fences yesterday. I have one more wreath to take down, but it's on the chimney and DH has to get the ladder out to do it, and it's been snowy/slippery this week a bit, so I haven't wanted him to go climbing on the ladder.

I still have the wreath on the back door. It still looks good, and I consider it more a winter decoration than a Christmas decoration. I may put a Valentine's Day bow on it though!

As I've said elsewhere, if you drive by my house in APRIL & my tree is still lit up(don't worry, it's artificial), you'll know my beloved elderly/quite-ill cat is still alive. He seems to like to sit and watch them, especially the bubble lights.

But I think the lights are probably going to go out sometime within the next week, and then I won't be offending anyone with them.

agnes!
