Taking DD's BFF to WDW

DD's BFF is joining us for a summer trip, the first time we will be taking someone else's child over the border. We'll be going through pre-clearance at the airport.

We know we have to take a notarized letter from the friend's parents. But what does the letter need to say?

We did this with DD and her a friend a few years ago. We didn't need to produce the letter, but we carried in case. We actually had to carry 2 since her parents were divorced and we needed one from each parent.

Our friends just took their nephew and had to produce the letter.

And besides the letter, don't forget about travel insurance for the BFF, as well as her OHIP card.

Thanks. The BFF's family recently travelled -- they have legal custody of two other kids and took all their documentation with them on a trip to Jamaica. No one asked for a thing! They were pretty amazed.

And thanks for the OHIP tip. I had thought about her needing general medical insurance, but not about taking her OHIP card too.
