Taking DD1 to WDW-should we do US also?

DH and I did both Disney and Universal on our honeymoon, and we both preferred Disney. I get motion sickness, so I didn't go on a lot of the rides at Universal. Most likely we won't go, but it has been about 4 years since we've been there, and DD1 has never been. Are there enough shows, tame rides, etc, to make this worthwhile? I must admit, my curiosity is centered around their Halloween festivities...although I don't know what they are....Should we just stick to WDW? We will have a car, but DH hates to drive much on vacation.

we took ds to US/IOA when he was 9 months. there is not a lot of stuff for kids that young. i think we took him on the merry go round and one other ride in seuss landing.

dh and i went for the coasters, we just rode one at a time while the other waited with ds.

if you're not interested i'd skip it this time as there is plenty for a 1 yr old at disneyworld.

We have taken our DD's to Sea World instead of US/IOA. While I like the thrill rides, there isn't enough to keep the little ones happy. We did go there on DD #1's first trip. She was 11 months old. We took her on the Cat in the Hat. The only other ride she had done all day was the Dr. Seuss merry go round. Well, the lady warned us she may be too young, but since she was walking she was permitted to ride. Well, that thing whipped around so fast she nearly flew out! After that we decided to wait until she (and now dd#2) gets older. She did like the Barney Show, tho.

A 1 yo is going to be happy whereever you are. They just like being w/ Mom & Dad. Plan you trip around what *you* like to do.

We've been to US, IOA, and Sea World too. We did them last year when our dd was 3.5. She loved them. Sea World was her fav.

We do either a "disney" trip or a "non disney" trip. We find it to much to try and do both in a weeks vacation. We can't even "do" all of Disney in a week! *LOL
