DS4 is not quite as attached to his blankie as my DD was at that age, but since it is likely that we will leave him in the club now and then late enough that he will fall asleep, he might want has blanket with him for "mat" time.
Has anyone else's kid kept theirs with them with out embarrasment?:cloud9:
I would guess he won't be the only one in the 3-5 age range.
Related question...is there an area of "cubbies" or hooks for the kids to bring some personal things in a small bag or backpack?
Thanks all you lucky, experienced DCL moms & dads!
I can't wait to be one too! Soon! Soon! :Pinkbounc

My DS is attached to his blankie and he never brought his with him to the club. I also never saw any there when DS or DD was in the clubs. There is no place to store such things, no hooks or cubbies to be had. Personally, I wouldn't have let DS bring his if he wanted to anyway, my greatest fear is that it would get lost, and that would be a bigger disaster. We also don't leave our kids in the clubs late, usually 10PM the latest anyway, so he's fine without it until then.

Sure he can bring it...in fact they put a label on it matching the one that they put on your child so they know exactly who it belongs to. My daughter also brought a stuffed animal and they put a wrist band on it matching hers so they knew whos it was. They can store it right at the counter for them if they don't want to carry it around. She would give it to them to hold and every once in awhile go back and get it, hold it awhile and have them store it again. Its no problem to bring it with you.

He can bring it, but as you say, if he is really not that attached to it, he may not even realize he does not have it.

My DS was 4 when we cruised last year. He NEEDS his teddy bear blanket, and his alligator, and his Beary, and his Beary Bear to go to bed each night. He did not bring any of them to the kids club, and he insisted on going to the kids club after dinner each night. My DH would carry him sleeping, back to the cabin, where we would tuck him in with all his friends, so he would wake up with them. But, he never once asked about bringing them. I don't think he associated the Kids Club with going to bed. Mat time is also movie time. He would just fall asleep watching the nightly movie.

I would let him take it if he asks, but I don't think he will. :teeth:
