Hi. I just booked a 4 night/5 day trip to WDW for MNSSHP. Our new baby will be 3-4 months old at the time. I am hoping to be exclusively nursing her, but I'm prepared for bottle feeding if the nursing thing doesn't work (I had a really hard time with my son).

Anyway, does anyone have tips for travelling with an infant? I've heard it's easier than with a toddler. I'll have my 2 year old along as well and will basically be putting DH in charge of the toddler. Right now we're booked at POR but we're hoping AP rates come out and we can switch to the Contemporary.

So, any tips??? I love the baby care stations in each park (although I feel that MGM's leaves a lot to be desired) but MK's and AK's are AWESOME. Epcot's is a bit out dated, but it serves its purpose as well.

So, any advice anyone has is GREATLY appreciated!!!!!! Thanks!!!

We went with a 7 month old so we had the complication of food which you won't have to deal with. Other than that, nothing too hard. She was our only child so basically we did adult things and dragged her with us. With a toddler, you will probably be on a more child-oriented track. As long as you are comfortable nursing in public, there are tons of benches and quiet spots to feed. I woudl definitely bring your own stroller b/c the Disney strollers are not plush or reclining enough for a child that small. Also, if have a sling or carrier those are nice when you can't bring the stroller. Plus, my DD sleeps much better when being carried. Good luck!

We are taking our little guy in May for his first b-day. However, when he was about 5 months old, we took him on his first vacation. If you are nursing, it will be pretty easy. No food, bottles, or formula to pack - just find a nice, quiet bench somewhere and relax while the baby eats. Your DH can even take your 2 year old off to do a special attraction or something while you are nursing, so that will be nice. I definately agree about the sling. Our little buddy lived in one for a while and he still loves it! As we prepare for this upcoming trip, I think about how easy it was to take him on that first vacation at 5 months! Now, at 12 months, he is crawling and pulling up on things and is not so happy to be in the stroller or held for long periods of time. And, of course, we have food to think about. I know we're going to have a great time, though!

We will be taking our 5 month old Grandson this next summer. (Also our 2 1/2 year old grandaughter) Im sure I will learn a lot after that trip.

One thing my daughter did for me when I took them to the zoo last week (An all day trip for us, they are 7 weeks and 2/1/2 now) Was to give me a small thermos with very warm water, then I had another soft sided small lunchbox with a freezer pack in it with bottles filled with pure concetrate. All I had to do is add 2 ounces of water to the 2 ounces of concetrate. The only thing is the water needed to be a tad bit warmer since the concetrate was so cold.

Anyway this tip could be good for someone not nursing. We have also tried the powder concetrate and adding it to water kept warm in a thermous but he doesnt seem to tolerate the powder as well as the liquid. He spits that up too much.
