The Delta policy doesn’t apply to me since my flight isn’t until May, and they are only allowing it through the end of April. Not even sure if it would apply even if they extended it through May since it is a Westjet flight though purchased through Delta (anyone know how that would work in a situation like this?).
I already have it in my head that I am going to lose the $$$ paid towards this flight. Even if they did offer a credit, if it is good only by the date of purchase, that would be in December and I have no plans of going anywhere this year anymore. I will just hang on until the bitter end hoping they cancel on me and rebook me on a significantly different flight so that I can tell them I don’t like the new flight and get a full refund. When I last checked on my flight, it isn’t even at 25% capacity so I have hope it could still happen
