Taking a Taxi

Probably about $20, but the boat or monorail would be just about as fast.

How much would it cost to grab a taxi from MK to the GF?

You CAN'T take a cab from MK to GF.

No cabs at the MK gates.
Closest cabs are at the Contemporary.

Take the small boat from MK to GF. That's the quickest route, as GF is the first stop.

Why would you take a taxi? Take the monorail or the boat for free.

Because I'm looking for a way to avoid the basses after EMH and that leaves out the Monorail. I can't find the information on whether the boats run after evening EMH so I though I would have a back up plan.

I hate to say it, but the more I learn about trips would be like from here on out, the happier I am that I'm moving across the state and this will be my last trip to Disney World. Something tells me I can still learn to love Disneyland as much as I once loved its big brother.

The monorail or the boat are your only option to get to GF.

It's always been my experience that if you are staying for EMH even if its for 30 minutes after regular closing that the masses have already cleared and there is plenty of room on the buses and boats and monorails.

Why not stay in the Contemp? you can walk to there if you are so anti bus.

Just be super careful at that intersection where you cross the street.
If you have children hold their hands there.
I don't want to be an alarmist, but people fly through that intersection.

IF it was faster to take a cab in this situation (and it won't be faster), you'd be paying $10+ to save 2-3 minutes maybe. Just take the boat. It is really quite simple.

I don't mind taking the boat, I just didn't want to get stuck with a buss (I can't stand that long for medical reasons, and don't want to risk ending up standing on the bus.) and we hate fighting to get on a tram. If the boats are running we'll happily take that option.

If you're not able to stand for extended periods, ask someone who has a seat to give you it. I don't know about buses there, but at least where I am, there are disabled seats. Non-disabled persons who sit in them must give them up upon request.

To be honest, when my wife was pregnant, people just got out of the seats and stood, didn't even have to ask. Don't feel like you're being pushy by asking. :)

I disagree with this. You can't always tell by looking at someone if they have a disability.

Hmmm, I'm not suggesting everyone will have ESP for disabilities (my wife has Spina Bifida, but it's certainly not something anyone would know without her medical records or being told). However, in that case, you've just got to ask. Even someone who feels put out will not say anything with that many eyes on them. :) And I haven't found such a person yet.

I doubt that many people would be staring them down. Not to mention, that is beyond rude behavior, and not everyone is comfortable being rude. Asking isn't rude, but staring someone down if they say no is. As a previous poster pointed out, you have no way of knowing if that person needs their seat.

Its been awhile since I have been on a Disney bus but, but don't they have seats towards the front that are reserved for people with disabilities?
