Taking a resort bus but not staying at a resort

Hi,
I'm in orlando now!

Our hotel is near downtown disney and was wondering if it was possible to go to a park, when it closes take a resort bus to a resort to have a look around and then take a bus to downtown disney, then a taxi to the hotel?

so basically i'm asking would we be able to take a resort bus from a park and then to downtown disney even ifi'm not staying at the resort?

Sure thing! I stayed at the Grovesnor across the street from DTD and we did this all the time! Just hop a bus at any resort to DTD. -- You actually might not even have to take a taxi. I walked from DTD acros the street to the Grovesnor, you might be able to just walk over to the Grovesnor and hop a bus to your hotel. Grovesnor is the 1st or 2nd drop off, so after the Grovesnor the bus SHOULD drop off at all the other hotels on that street. Good Luck!

Yes you can do it, just be aware if you wait till a park closes, the busses may be very full and take a little longer to pick you up.

You will definitely find long lines for the resort busses if you wait until the park closes, or the "grand finale" fireworks displays. After that, you can get on any bus to any resort and then on to DTD where the busses run much longer.
