Whew!!!!!!! What a whirlwind these past few weeks have been. I am at my first placement (2nd grade) at student teaching. I am having a blast with the students! It is a great bunch of kids and my co-op teacher is wonderful. I am learning so much, most of it from my own mistakes!
I am disappointed with the amount of time I have to spend on "paperwork" though. My lesson plans must be very formal,(about 15 different criteria for each lesson, no matter how long or short) then all the reflections-reflect on each lesson, then on the day, then on the week. I feel as though I sit in front of this computer all evening.
I would much rather be talking to my own kids or finding some useful and fun information to pass on to my students on the topic I am teaching. I am going to try to get all my lesson plans done this weekend and free up more time during the week. Any suggestions??
done venting......anyway, just wanted to check in, say hello, and let you know I haven't fallen off the face of the earth!
