Taking a nap at Disneyland Resort

Hey everyone!
I just wanted to know what everyone's opinion was on guests that take a nap at Disneyland Resort (like on a bench).

Do you find them obnoxious? Disrespectful? Funny? Sympathetic? Or do you just not care? Hahaha

I love Disneyland, but sometimes when I go (without staying at a hotel) I just HAVE to collapse on one of the benches (I look for a place where there isn't a lot of traffic of course), but I've always felt guilty and self-conscious doing it... :worried:

Thanks!

I actually never pay attention to other people :) So wouldn't bother me at all!

LOL funny question, because I swear we see at least one "napper" on every visit.

I guess my immediate thought is, "Wow, that's a really trustworthy person. I hope no one touches them or picks their pockets while their sleeping."

My first thought is that is really cute! :) If I could relax enough, I would probably do that too, but like Disney Dreams said I'd be too scared someone would steal my purse or camera!

Now it all depends on whether you're going to sleep so soundly that your head falls back with your mouth wide open and snoring so loudly that one can barely hear themselves think. :rotfl2: JUST KIDDING!!

It doesn’t bother me if it doesn't bother you. Happy snoozing to you.:)

I am sure I have closed my eyes a few times at Disneyland while sitting on a bench. 5 min naps feel so good.

O K Raise your hand if you have ever fallen asleep inside a dark easy ride. Lincoln attraction in the middle of the day is my best friend. Ya, I know but I can't help it. I really enjoy this attraction to. But sitting, dark, and me tired =nappie.

It wouldn't bother me unless they were taking up a whole bench and no one could sit ther..sitting space at DLR is pretty prime. My DH dozes off in the Tiki room all the time...

I am all for a nice nap at Disneyland. Some of my favorite places are Pirates of the Carribean, the benches just outside First Aid and the Hub.:thumbsup2

I agree. We see people sleeping everywhere, Animation building, benchs, GCH lobby. I do not care for it and think why not go back to your room and sleep and not tie up the whole bench, sofa, etc.

All and all, who cares..I could never do it.

I've fallen asleep there once. Sometimes you just play so hard you need a nap.

I agree, we play very hard and we do naps but at the hotel. You get to be my age and a nap is required when we are there.

I have read recently about Caffine Power Naps. Drink a caffinated beverage and have a 20 min. snooze and you'll feel rejouvenated! Apparently the caffine takes about 20 mins. to take effect.

Put your valuables in the locker and find a spot to nap knowing you will not be robbed.

Good Luck!

For real ? people lay down and sleep on the benches?. Now that is just rude. Like I stated before I have closed my eyes while sitting on a bench, but I was sitting and hugging the arm rest. Had to hold this heavy ole head up so people might not notice I was zzzzzing.

Man in stroller? What the heck. Must have been a little man. I'm not that tall and I am sure I would not fit. Heck how would you get yourself out of it? Just to funny.

Actually ever notice how hard the benches are? You gotta be really tired to sleep while sitting on one of those wood beauties.

My first thought was "go back to the hotel and nap" I guess that is not an option for everyone. I find it a bit weird, but it's not like I'm going to go wake them up and say "go get a room" :rotfl:

I seen it almost everywhere when I am at the DLR. I don't even bother with those people sleeping on the benches during the day, but those people can do it at the hotel room or somewhere else.

It is something I do not understand. I would be the one to go tell them to get a room, but, my wife would kill me if I did and I have enough problems without that.

it's not always an option for everyone to be able to go back to the room. Their room may be farther away, they may not have a room and be there only for the day or something like that. If a nap is what they need to make their trip to Disney work and they are comfortable with it, then that's what they need to do. To each their own i guess.

I haven't seen any nappers at Disneyland yet, I wouldn't mind if they did of course lol I mean you must be really tired to fall asleep at the Happiest Place on Earth haha!

I did see a lady passed out sleeping at the Grand Californian a couple of years ago. She was dead to the world, lol. And she had her suitcase with her, I was just hoping she didn't miss her shuttle or cab to wherever she was going! haha!
