Is there a place to store it while on the ship if we don't have a handicapped room? My husband just bought me one for my mobility issues and we already had our cabin booked.
On the Fantasy and Dream, it is right outside of the Enchanted Garden on the 2nd deck. Not sure where it is on the other ships.(I have a vague memory of seeing them in some elevator /stairwell bays.
I believe they have designated areas for these to be parked, away from high-traffic areas. Elevator bays might be a possibility, if they are 'tucked away' and still leave room for people to maneuver.Per DCL website, “Due to safety regulations, wheelchairs, scooters, strollers and other personal belongings may not be stored in public passageways and must be stored inside staterooms or a designated public storage area.”
So, not left in the narrow hallway outside your cabin.

Yes, my MIL gets a golf cart ride from Guest Services on the Island. She can walk around on the ship okay since there are usually lots of places for her to sit and rest but she can't walk long distances or stand for a long time. I think my FIL just requests it, but I'm not sure who he talks to. If you want, let me know, and I will ask him.You may want to reach out to DCL to see if there are any options to get a golf cart ride if you opt not to bring i
The handicap doors leave a lot of light underneath. You might want to consider putting a towel next to the door frame while you sleep. Maybe a strip of painters tape at the bottom? Happy you were able to get a room. So helpful.Thank you all! I decided to change my cabin to a handicapped one and will be bringing my scooter just in case![]()
On the dream we saw plenty of them parked in the stairwell though they're supposed to be on their designated level.Per DCL website, “Due to safety regulations, wheelchairs, scooters, strollers and other personal belongings may not be stored in public passageways and must be stored inside staterooms or a designated public storage area.”

Which stairwell? If your talking about Deck 2 that is where they are supposed to be since that is the designated area for the Dream and Fantasy. On the the Wonder and Dream it is the elevator portico on deck 6. Not sure where the designated space is on the Wish.On the dream we saw plenty of them parked in the stairwell though they're supposed to be on their designated level.
