Hello everyone! I'm planning the details of my upcoming cruise and I am an aspiring portrait photographer that works seasonally in my local area (and do pretty good for the part-time effort I put into it). I also LOVE to take pictures of incredible nature and be creative with the photos and I'm planning a day trip to the Baths in July with my family - on our own so we aren't "rushed" along with an excursion. I also have a 17 7ear old who is usually my "marketing" model and I have visions of some really nice pics of her (this is the trip between Junior and Senior year) at the Baths that I can play with light, silhouette, etc... for her portfolio.
I'm trying to decide do I take my 'professional' Mirrorless camera (which is expensive) with me to the baths or will it get smashed and banged trying to get around and through everything or should I bring a smaller point and shoot type of camera?
What type of photo experiences has anyone had in this type of environment?
