? taking a bus from POP to MK to get to GF

My first day at the DW and we are staying at POP. I have ressies at 1900 Park Fare at 7pm. I want to avoid the valet charge of the GF parking...so, can I take the bus to MK and a ferry to the GF? How long should I allow for this adventure? I would think it would be a fun relaxing ride, right?

You can take the monorail from the MK to the GF!

Always allow an hour to get from one place to another using WDW transportation. It won't always take that long but sometimes it does when you have just missed a bus or boat.

You don't have to park valet at GF if you want to use your car. Like DisneyTeacher said give yourself an hour. Since it is your first night I would take the monorail and even ask to ride up front.

Its not exactly a "ferry" but there is boat transportation from MK to GF and it is generally FASTER than taking the monorail (as GF is the LAST stop from where you board).

Exit from the bus at MK, walk down to the boat docks and read the signs.

You want the boat that services GF and Poly (it will stop at GF first, then Poly, then return to MK, then GF, etc.)
There are usually at least two of these boats running so the wait should be no more than 10 minutes, if you "just miss" one.

We love to ride these little boats (they look like smaller versions of the Jungle Cruise boats.)

BTW, anyone can ride these if they need to go to the resorts.
