Takeout at a ts restaurant--do i need an adr?

Hi All,

I wanted to try the ooey gooey toffee cake at LTT, but my question is do I have to have an adr to get one or can I just walk up and ask for the cake to go? Will they do that? It seems silly to me to have to make an adr just to order a piece of cake, but if that's the only way then so be it!

You will not be able to get takeout at a TS restaurant- even when they are not busy. They are not set up that way. You will need an ADR and to go to your table and order what you want. You can then ask for a box to take it with you instead of eating it there.

I think LTT is a full meal at night so you would have to get a lunch reservation in order to just order dessert- otherwise you will pay the whole meal price for everyone in your group.

This is what my DW and I do at many restaurants in Epcot for dinner when we stay at BCV or BWV. We go in with our ADR get what we want and tell em to box it up. Then take it back to the Fridge in the room to enjoy after we return when the parks close.

I had a similar question so I'm glad you asked. I figured that they didn't do take-out at the restaurants but there are a few items I'd like to try without having to do an entire meal, the toffee cake being one of them!

That is something I never would have considered (take out) but so good to know!

1) No.
2) As mentioned, the TS do not do "take out".
3) But, also as mentioend, taking a doogie bag is permissable.
4) You need an ADR for that.

The toffee cake isn't served at dinner, lunch only.

And it is true that you will most likely not be able to place a to-go order at a Disney TS restaurant. You will need to actually go in, sit down and order the item, then when it arrives have it boxed and take it with you.

You CAN get in without an ADR but then you might be subject to a long wait just to order a piece of cake.

Thanks for all the info! Made my ressie...after thinking about it I think it's better to actually eat it inside (don't think the ice cream will hold up to go!)
