We just got back on Thurs and for the first time had to use our ADR confirmation print-out since the computer didn't have our reservation in it. We went to Teppan Edo the last day and checked in for our 1:00 ADR but our name wasn't in their computer. I pulled out the print out and showed it to them. They entered our info in the computer and we were actually given the next available table for our group size. This is the first time that we have ever had a problem in all the years we have been going. I just took the print out for each day's TS ADR with me and now I am glad I took the time to print them and carry them with me.

I too always take the print out with me. Once about 5 years ago we had the same problem for dinner at CM. Since I had the print it out, it worked out just fine. In 14 years it is the only time it has happened, but I prefer to be prepared, just in case. :goodvibes

One step further: when you check into your resort, go to the guest services desk and have them print out your full list of ADRs. This way, it's on official Disney letterhead/paper stock and it's dated. I do this even though I bring mine from home, too :thumbsup2

2 Busy Planning: This is even better advice!! I always printed off our ADRs before leaving home, but there is no way anyone would argue with the one printed from the resort. :thumbsup2

I always have a printed out schedule, with conf numbers, of all dining ADRs. I tried having one printed out at AKL last April, but was told repeatedly that it wasn't possible at that time....there was an issue with their system and CMs couldn't seem to access it....really??? 3 different times???

So, I always have my own print out. And I have also arrived at a restaurant, been told that there is nothing for me in the system. But, I had my handy dandy print out. Once there was absolutely nothing there...but I obviously had it printed out, they gave me the next available. Another time, I had to give them the conf number since they couldn't find my name. The conf number brought up a completely different name!! Not even similar to mine. So, who knows..but we were seated.
It does pay to bring that print out.

1) Sometimes it helps.
2) Sometimes it does not help.
3) There are folks who have made ADR's, then canceled.
4) They have then changed their mind.
5) When they couldn't get a new ADR, they showed the old printout.
6) WDW has seen these, so they don't always honor them.

We had a problem last year at California Grill and I didn't have the printout. However, I do save the confirmations in my email and was able to show it to them from my phone. Turns out it was their mistake and we were seated right away, window table.

So, if you forget your printout and have your confirmations saved on email that can be read from your phone, that should work if there is a problem.

We've never had a problem, but just in case this is a great tip! :thumbsup2 Use your phone, less paperwork to lug around and save a tree in the process... (or considering the number of ADRs that go through Disney, if everyone did this, we could probably save a forest!)

I always bring mine too and have also had an instance at LTT that they didn't have us listed, I showed them the printout and we had to wait about 20mins but they still sat us

This is exactly what I do. I also forward the confirmation to everyone that travels with us. Just in case my phone battery dies, gets lost or stolen, or gets broken in some way. This way somebody always has a copy of the confirmation. I even go so far as to save it as a pdf and include it as an attachment on my calendar. This way if the email gets deleted, it's saved to my calendar. A backup to the backup. :rotfl:

Love this idea. Easier (and cheaper) than doing it yourself at home! Plus this way, you can't accidently leave it 1000 miles away.... :rolleyes1

Thanks for the tips! I never bring them w/ me into the parks but perhaps I will now. :thumbsup2
