Take your AAA card!

I have been checking around for rates at UO hotels.
We want to stay at RPH.The lowest rate I was able to find was $219 Garden view. This was on Hotels.com and Loews website.
It is very high but the dates are april18-20 Easter weekwend.

I called lowes and asked for cheepest rate.first quote 219 garden view .I asked about AAA rate and it dropped to 198 garden view and 224 Water view.

Any one get a better rate for these dates.

Just cancelled my Hotelkingdom reservation for Easter week. I had a $339.00/night rate, which is very good. They beat just about everyone pricewise. Called HRH reservations and dropped it down to 332.00/night using my AAA card, saving over $80.00. Thank you AAA!

Last week I booked RPR from April 15-19 for $125.00 with the entertainment card. I think you needed 4 nights, but I know they were offering a good room rate with 2 adult passes included for length of stay for 3, 4, 5 night stays on the universal website. Check there or call the 800 # and ask about all the rates available.

I have never been to Emeril's at Citywalk - are reservations always necessary - can you get in during the day without reservations?

Usually this place is packed. Lunch is easier to get a table than dinner. Always worth a shot to walk in and try. I have always had luck getting a table or a spot by the kitchen (which is fun to watch) at the counter. Since Emeril has a new place opening at RP it may lighten the crowds. Best bet if you are set on eating there...Make a reservation, you could always cancel it.

Does anyone know if they will accept the temporary cards. I signed up for AAA about 2 weeks ago but have not received my permanent cards yet. We leave in 2 days.

In this month's AAA magazine (it is sent to members, mine is the Nebraska edition) there is a coupon that doubles your 10% discount for a specific period of time. You must present the coupon with your AAA card to receive the full 20%.

Thanks AAA!

Yeah!! It's always good to be a AAA member!! Can't wait to start saving $$!!

Hi Swazie,
Do you recall the specific time period it was good for? If it's while we're there (mid-May) it would be worth looking around to see if I can find this month's AAA magazine. I flipped through it but didn't notice the coupon at the time. I may have thrown it away but I'd even rummage through trash for the extra 10% if it's good in May!
Thanks for any info.
Ellen

cnderellen, It looked more like an ad for US/IOA than a coupon. It was good for 20% off food and stuff inside the 2 parks only not citywalk. I know it started 4/19 I think it lasts like 10 days. Must use it with your AAA card. Just got my NJ copy on Saturday

Boy was I off: offer valid 4/1----6/30 with blackout dates of 4/6-4/19 not valid on film, sundries, collectibles, dvds or vhs

Dylansdad,
I just got my AAA World magazine today and can't seem to find this discount offer. Maybe I'm not seeing things clearly. It is Monday. Could you tell me where this offer is. The only thing I see is the little wallet card that says 10% off. Maybe it's a different area. Thanks.

Mine was on page 20 and its n ad for US/IOA . Pretty big, maybe 3rd of a page, has both signs in pic and reads april partner of the month

I must have gotten a different book. There is no ad for US/IOA on page 20 or any other page for that matter. How frustrating! I'm in the Mid Atlantic Region-South Jersey. Maybe you are from a different reqion. I'm going to try calling my local office tomorrow and see what's what. We'll be going on April 18 for 5 days so I could use the coupon. I didn't realize the books would have different ads for national attractions. My book includes a coupon for parking at Newark and we never go from there(AC or Philly for us) Stange.

The story on the cover is Once Around Kauai, it also has two others Wished We Were There and A Question of Values. It's the March/April issue. It really is odd.

Well I called AAA today and asked about the coupon. It seems there are three AAA franchises in New Jersey, North, South and Midlantic. I'm in Midlantic(even though I'm as south as you can get and still be in the state). They all have their own books with different ads. They don't have anyway of getting me a coupon.
If there is anyone who has one of these coupons and is not going to use it I'd love it. Please e-mail me or PM me and I can send you a self addresses envelope. Thanks for the info.
